I can see Roczen finishing ahead of RD especially at the end of the year. SX races are shorter than Nationals and there is no doubt Roczen will make quicker more aggressive passes than RD. This is big in SX. Often by the time RD gets by someone, the leader may be long gone.

Roczen has the ability to make like 15 passes in the first lap (in case he doesnt have a good start which he usually has) - dungey and also tomac will have their problems fighting through the pack (because all the way down to 10th place they will have to deal with potential race winners)
KR is just incredibly consistent... except for that one DNQ he only had 1sts and 2nds in SX and went 4-4-4 last weekend...

well but still I think in a 1on1 Dungey is better as it is kennys rookie season, we will see...

i dunno how any of you guys can say Roczen will beat Dungey.... we all saw that Dungey stomped him at the Red Bull Give Me 5 in Madrid. Roczen hasn't got a chance.

As long as the racing is tight , i dont care who wins the championship , as long as its exciting.

Omara, Bailey and Hannah and got along on team Honda back in the day. They pushed each other in a good way. I would expect no less from the Red Bull riders.

I am much more excited about just how many riders can realistically be on the podium each week, its a pretty long list in 2014. From Villopoto, Stewart, Dungey, Barcia, Canard, Roczen, Tomac the list goes on....

Lets hope and pray everyone stays healthy for the next 73 days!! Cool
We go through this every year. Cue up DV with the "Deep field" tweets...

He has the potential and could definitely snag a win, but I don't see him beating Dungey over the course of a championship yet.
Maybe not the best comparison,Dungey is older and Roczen has made a shift and been going for Championships in another series and is improving all the time, afterall he's only 19.

Roczen definitely has more track craft.just as much speed and is going to be putting in the hours behind the scenes so I can see him pushing Dungey for top billing on team KTM

At the end of the day Roczen's career is probably on the way up and Dungey's probably more levelled out

KR faded down the stretch THIS YEAR. Seems like a pretty fair comparison if you guys think he's going to be sticking it to Dungey in just a couple months. Hey, he looked great and was consistent at MEC, I'm not trying to take anything away from the guy. But the implication is that he'll be top dog at KTM, which would mean beating Dungey over the course of two very long series. What point they are at in their careers is sort of irrelevant, because you guys are saying that next year he's going to take over. I'm just saying I don't think that's realistic, that's all. I'm a fan of great racing and respect all of the guys, I don't really have favorites one way or another.
I will say this... after seeing KR at MEC, we know now Dungey is going to have another fast guy to get through if he has a bad start. If those two are battling for KTM Alpha-Dog status, it's going to make RV's life even easier when he gets the holeshot and starts to check out.
