Thanks so much mate, i was just curious to know if he was on Dunlops, guess this isn't the place to find out stuff like that.

Impressive ride, glad to see he still has it. Would be cool if he could be up and dicing for podiums for the full season. Only negative thing with this is, Ralph might be back with the "fastest man on the planet" thing. I guess I'll take the good with the bad. Grinning

Let's hope everyone stays healthy and we see this kind of racing at A1. RD needs to take a page from JS, when RV makes a pass, you pass him back! Nice to see someone not just let him go. Great racing by all, hope RV is ok.

Always good to see a race with parity, and I thought we were in for two (?) more boring years of 450 racing until Villopoto retired. Tonight gave me hope. Still guardedly optimistic, though- Stewart is historically superb at heat races, but lately has had trouble putting the 20 lap mains together.

Either way, great night of racing and congrats to Stewart!

Well done JS7,he certainly had enough for Villopoto when they went at it,not sure if he got caught up somewhere in the 1st race to end up 8th,I bet he thought he was out of the overall

Fastest time of the night too, clever passes on RV and Kenny

Can anyone capture that shot of the 3rd race, where they emerge together from the start and Stewart is side ways on the rear wheel?

Good to see James riding up to his capabilities, and good to see RV walk away from that scary crash. Those two are amazing to watch!

Incredible.

What made me smile the most was the way JS got passed...then came right back, repassed RV...then checked and parked RV (and I am an RV fan!) by about 1s..giving him a lot of space on the track. Then RV caught him...passed him...and JS pulled that high LOW on the tight turn outside the stadium...then hung RV out again. I dont think RV knew what hit him. IT has been a long time since anyone pulled those sorts of moves on him (Alessi in amateurs?)

Irregardless of speed, JS flat schooled RV on good old fashioned racecraft. Absolutely textbook. JS is highly under rated in this regard. Crazy balls speed aside...he is one of the best that has ever ridden at this aspect of MX.

As for this being a new James, however....this was just one race, and one race on a track with few options (for these top pros). Aside from the TT triple...there really were no options on this track...and no gnarly whoops. That is why you saw the top 5 or 6 riders so close on lap times. (Heck..there were guys in the amateur race running 1:10s).. There was literally only one option on the track...to clear the TT...and once JS pulled the trigger...others did the same. There was just not much you could do to differentiate yourself. On a more typical series SX track...with more and closer spaced rythm sections...there will be 3,4,5 option points plus whoops...and thus a lot more risk. That means more chances for everyone to for push it ...and you know what can happen then.

This sport is better when JS7 is on his game. His charisma is on point, He had everything to lose; and didn't even do that well this past year. Good for him, I wish he had won the million.

I agree that James schooled him a bit on racecraft... but, to be fair, RD doesn't do much to learn from most often... he tries for a a pass, or to hold off a pass, and then settles to often.

That's what was so cool about this race.... two guys with the speed, playing a chess match! I'm an RV fan but I loved it, please do more of this!

I agree with this 100%.. I wish they would get back to building gnarly tracks with tricky rhythm options to create separation, instead of "protecting their investments" with the super easy sx tracks..

Had there been a gnarly set of supercross whoops, James would of won by a bigger margin! He looked great last night, that 2nd repass on RV was fantastic.

BIG congrats to James. A good straight up race against RV, and James had to dispose of Dungey quickly in race 3.
If he would have pulled the holeshot in the first moto that he did on the 2nd start when the gate malfunctioned again, I think he would be $1 million richer.
Good to see him battling and having confidence in the bike.
