Good news for Mookie:

Troy Lee Designs / Lucas Oil / Honda is pleased to announce that Malcolm Stewart has signed with the team for the 2014 season.

Malcolm made his TLD debut as a replacement rider at the Lucas Oil Pro Motocross National opener at Hangtown this past May. He demonstrated a lot of promise on the 450 showing both the speed and the desire to run up front. The highlight of the summer was his moto 2 podium at Budds Creek, where he finished a career best 4th overall for the day.

“We were working closely with his brother James and his family on a different project and got to know Malcolm personally. He’s a good kid and lots of fun to be around. I feel that he’s a good fit for the team,” said Troy Lee

Look for Malcolm to compete in the AMA Supercross Lites West Regional Series alongside TLD / Lucas Oil / Honda teammates Cole Seely, Jessy Nelson and Shane McElrath. He’ll then make the jump to the 450’s in the Lucas Oil Pro Motocross National Championship Series.

Doubt it.

1.James looks to have his suspension sorted (check out the latest vid with JS7 standing as he squares of a corner)

2. Mookie looks to have a gut in the pre-season testing vids (he might have just been breathing out as the camera went off, but just saying)

Yes my mistake. Didn't see his name in the other TLD thread and haven't seen him in any pics or video with the team.

Great news for Mookie! TLD is his kind of team, and although I hate to see his talent wasted on the Lites...he sure might steal a podium or three next year outdoors.

Ahh, I really was looking forward to him being on a 450 for SX. Oh well. Glad he still has a solid ride.

Malcolm is my pick for sx. The Stewarts are looking fast.
Has any noticed Malcolm # is 34. 3+4=7 like big bro. I wonder if It is a coincidence or the reason he runs 34!
