^ I thought that implied that they killed it for a reason.
Money solves every problem, money makes everything alright
And do you honestly think those guys care about supporting the local economy haha
Yes they really care about the population in Africa, what great humanitarians they are
And no i don't think anything was exported to China because rhino are protected by the
Convention on International Trade in Endangered Species of Wild Fauna and Flora (CITES) and considered endangered. This listing, and a 1987 regulation, prohibits international and domestic trade in rhino products. Although the ban has been in force since 1976, the trade continues, particularly in China, South Korea, Taiwan and Thailand. The United States hasrecently imposed sanctions on Taiwan and China for their continued trade in rhino products.
If something was shipped however it was more than likely an illegal transaction, and only a few corrupt individuals profit and fill their pockets
It's an illegal market
If you want rhino horn for example you actually don't have to kill the animal, if you cut off a rhino's horn it will grow back
but poachers don't care just shooting is easier for them
It's all for the asian market, they believe it has medicinal purposes, science has already proven that is a load bull*****

Now that I've added a Presidents name to the thread., I'd guess with the references to shooting and killing people this surely will get the NSA scanners attention!
Again,8 weeks and good to race the MEC,or after then 11 weeks to race A1
Oh well maybe Kegums then,
Maybe a little R&R is a necessary thing to keep you at your best eh?
98% of the "fans" on here have some pretty ridiculous expectations from these guys.
Hope you can see the sarcasm in the first part. Good post.
Actually I heard the real reason RV didn't race in Germany was that the Rosseta Stone tapes didn't arrive in time. RV speaks hunter, not German.
LOOK OUT!
Half of the trophy fee we paid for each animal-which included baboon, warthog, zebra, sable, Impala, bushbuck, clipspringer, and cape buffalo all went 2 the local tried for projects like water supply improvements et cetera.
We had a native African government escort with us on every minute of every hunt who carried an FAL .308 semi automatic assault weapon who made sure we followed all game laws and limits.
All in all it was a very cool experience and there is no doubt that the natives benefited from our hunt both financially and physically.
And I sure wish RV had been on Team USA.
Your experience of Africa was obviously different from mine and I'm glad that the locals were helped, I'm not against hunting species that aren't endangered. The general theme that I got from my time in Africa was any thing given to people that needed it was robbed as soon you turned your back.
Pit Row
People will try to calm their conscience by saying, oh well at least we fed the villagers
Maybe they should shoot non endangered species in order to feed the villagers
Most Game parks where hunters go to shoot are privately owned anyway, only the owners profit
Wildlife sanctuary SanWild has called on all South Africans to appeal to the minister to issue a moratorium on all legal hunting of rhino, saying there was sufficient evidence that legal hunting continued to fuel the illegal trade in rhino horn "to a great extent".
SanWild founder Louise Joubert said: "In 2009, Cites reported that the only people who profit are rhino owners and professional hunting outfits and their clients, whose main objective remains short-term financial gain."
Truth is the endangered animals like the elephant and rhino have never seen their numbers drop as fast as recent years
Heavy lies the crown...
For those of you that don't understand how we hunt in the NW ( yeah....that includes RV )........if we get a trophy rack out of the deal , the better. This goes without saying , but the bigger the rack , the more meat you get. Some of you guys that have " NO Idea " think RV just went out and plowed some big elk for the rack to put up on his wall. I will guarantee you that is NOT the case! In fact I would put a wager on that since that picture was shot....RV has had probably at least 2 -3 different nights of eating a big ol' fat Elk steak! Up here in the NW....we hunt for food!
Those douche' bags that shot the rhino.........fuck them! I don't agree with that shit at all , even if it did help support the local community and so forth. Although IF the meat really did make it's way to the local community....then I can some what stomach the thought that they shot it. If it was for just a trophy......I honestly don't know what to say. People like that make me sick.
How this thread got side tracked off into a " Look how evil RV is....he shoots endangered species "........open your fucking eyes and take a deep breath. He may be rich , but putting your own meat on the table says something!
Next time you open your mouth and stick some hamburger in.....think about where that came from. Most of the time it's from some poor cow that had a rough life , never knew freedom and was only on this earth for us to eat. You know how many Elk get to live out there entire lives out in the wilderness and die of old age.....plenty!
Unfortunately, the liberal greenies in this state will run our finally growing elk numbers further into the ground then Idaho could ever imagine. I absolutely wish eastern WA could either become its own state or be adopted by Idaho....... The mentality on the wet side of the state is frightening.
Please do tell, I don,t think I even used RV 's name once in this thread
I was addressing the people that commented that you can justify anything as long as you throw money at it
Post a reply to: Where again is RV?
