Yea, no telling. It could be a guy from down under or from across the pond! Who's available in the GPs?

Team 22 Motorsports on a factory backed KTM with Chad Reed and Jason Lawrence....Wasn't J-Law seen riding with the new Shift gear? Hasn't he been on every bike but the KTM?

How do you even vet a rider when you don't know what bike you're going to be on by the way.
He knows, just can't announce it yet he said.

Highly doubt that. Wharton isn't up to his par.

I always enjoy when people speak on behalf of Reed or any other pro and/or industry person.

I wasn't speaking on Reed's behalf as much as I was taking his words that he previously spoke and interjected them in the middle of the speculation. . . Without any concrete announcements, that's all we're doing here anyways right.

Hasn't he said in the past he wants to get a championship contendor or he'd rather go it alone? Or am I misremembering or has something changed?

And for what it's worth, I like all the speculation and the "games" Reed is playing.

My guess:
The first rider will be Chad and the second rider will be Reed.
I just don't see him signing anyone until he's done racing.

In my uneducated opinion, if he really is going for a 2nd rider it could be Bret Metcalfe. Or Bret will ride sx for him and defend his Canadian title outdoors. In that case he could pick up Peick for outdoors.

It has to be someone significant. Maybe trying to get K-Roc out of his contract? He won't just sign anyone it needs to be a top guy.

He would definitely be the one legit signature Reed was referring to. If it's indeed Roczen then KTM can be ruled out, because no way he would leave the factory team for a first year effort on the same manufacture.

Roczen is playing a very dangerous game if he is considering breaking the KTM contract. KTM seems like a more loyal team than the Japanese manufacturers and I think he has a pretty good gig going with them. If he does break his contract, he better be confident in his ability to stay healthy and be a strong competitor. Just my $.02

He has said openly that hes not comfortable on the KTM. He could really do damage on something he likes to ride.

I think Blake would be a great fit for the team. Hes a fan favorite and I'm guessing a sponsers dream what with the hair and good vibe image he gives off. Chad should put him on a 250f and let him ride which ever coast he wants. I also think Chads the guy that could ride Blakes case and get the most out of him.

If Chad hires a top caliber 450 guy, thats just going to be somebody he will compete against and possibly have mishaps out on the track with. Its awkward.

Deano could have a flexibility clause in his contract that would allow him to ride for TwoTwo if they had Monster/PC/Kaw as their primary sponsors, couldn't he?

Maybe I need to break it down...or clarify further what I meant. I was thinking that PC & CR had spoken of his desire to put Deano under the TwoTwo tent , and on PC equipment before DW even signed with PC for 2013. Maybe there was something that both had worked out for that to happen. It could be a win-win thing.

Far fetched, but...

Peelout, I'm going to be honest here. When I saw that you said Jlaw for the 2nd rider for twotwo I thought to myself, please not another Jlaw joke but then I looked at who posted it and thought no worries cause your comments are generally hilarious plus look at your avatar, unfrickenreal haha!

However, the picture of the myth and legend named Jlaw is supercool. Nice work.

That has to be his prime best year, no?

I'm a huge Hot Sauce fan, but I doubt Chad would sign a 32 year old to a team he expects to keep going after he retires in a year or two. A guy like Deano would be a pretty good choice, but it would depend on his deal with PC.

Wilson has said that he is signed for 250 only next year to build himself back up. I think this is a solid plan besides beating poto and rv is near impossible.

Do you think Mitch could reallocate Wilson and the plan could change? It does seem like a good fit.

I've never heard Roczen say that in the tone of wanting to leave ktm. They all say there not happy with there setup when they're not on the podium.

heard it from someone who heard it from someone that the 2nd guy could have had a knee surgery lately and because of a clause in his 2013 contract, he is STILL able go wherever he wants to, but only because there are no lemons involved. You dig?
