The " Only " downfall to the entire MXoN's race.....is the odds it puts us against our fellow brethren from across the pond. I hate arguing with those guys and it seems like there are always a few knuckleheads on BOTH sides of the pond which damn near starts WW3 on here. I know most of it is all in good fun......but it gets pretty brutal in here. So to all my brothers from across the pond.....I again call a truce a few days after the race!

Look at the size of that crowd!!

I live on the East coast of Aus and my dad, brother, one of my brother's mates and I flew over to the west coast to go to the Des Nations at Manjimup in 1992.. I was 13 my memories include

JMB in his last pro MX race and just demolishing the field in the first moto looking like he was on a slow Sunday ride..
Emig's screaming 125 in amongst the burr burrurr burrrururr of the 500's
Kurt Nicholl looking cool as fuck with his open face and goggle mask thing.. but dude it's 1992 get with the times
Rob Herrings sick white Castrol sponsored CR250
teeny tiny Robbie Marshall hauling on his KX500 (is Robbie Marshall the most common MX name ever?)
teeny tiny Robbie Marshall super pissed (drunk) at the after party getting picked on by his mates and pulling his hood over his head and tying about 50 knots in the draw string haha
talking to Jeff Leisk who was maggot (super pissed) at the after party around a fire drum and him not caring that his Chambers leather jacket was burning while he was arranging the wood
dragging a Paraletic (maggot) Peter Melton (one of the biggest Aussie pros) off the bonnet of our hire car when leaving..

good times

I figured that. Smile

I'm sure some folks want to know a head of time in regards to the times, like that one dude that asked.
So that they can plan their weekend well before hand and know the times.
Dwayne can just copy that post - it will save him a few minutes.

Some rad pic of RC from the MXDN in 2003, his battle w/ Everts that year was awesome! on a 2 stroke w. a blown out ACL. RC was a true Captain America!

TFS told a story of press day RC was throwing MASSIVE whips and getting the crowd goind nuts! Cool

I love this one, hot air balloon nose wheelie lol

Don't get me started. I was there, with TFS etc. Had been watching RC on the telly for a couple of years, and was peeing my pants in excitement to finally watch him ride in person, the pics above with the acerbis balloon can really show the extent of his glory. That step up jump had a crazy jump face, that wasn't build like an ordinary jump face, the angle was way to steep, so you hit it, and the suspension got totally compressed, which ended with them being catapulted in the air, and a lot of riders felt scared, or at least acted scared, because 99% of them didn't clear in until a few laps of practice. RC entered the track, and on his FIRST LAP, he whipped the sucker, while Everts cleared in on the second lap. I was a total delivery for me, I had basically travelled from Sweden to see this angry elf ride, actually bough a CR250 with his graphics woody woodpecker because I was a total fan of his and he totally delivered.

I can really describe that race, RC came from behind, Everts in lead and smoked them all. His CR250 was pinned, he clutched the sucker like crazy, doing corners on the peak of the powerband, but despite that, clutched the sucker to just find some extra ponies, it was crazy. I have newer seen a 250 smoker being tortured like that before, and most likely will newer see it again...

The best moto experience ever.

The Euros was in general more exited to see RC than, that all the riders combined. By some luck, tnx to Warthog, I was invited to the US team tent, was standing there like a retard, didn't know what to do, find the moment to talk to RCs mom. No one got why there were some stupid looking Swedes in the tent, but I squeezed every minute out of it...

DrSweden:

I actually got a pic of me and RC from the back of that truck on the first and second picture somewhere.. If that is a truck which I think it is? Whistling

I was 8 or 9 years old and stood beside my biggest idol it was fucking awesome, I didn't manage to look excited at all on that picture though, I looked rather bored actually Laughing but believe me I was excited, and nervous..
