Bailey battling Thorpe (7) in '85. Thorpe was very strong in '85, but unfortunately that performance became overshadowed by Team USA's incredible 1986 run.

Im so with ya bro! sacrilege that the white "V" stripes are not MANDATORY on all Team USA helmets! Look back a page or 2 on Dungey's in 2010, they were there!

Love this stuff... such a cool event. I keep refreshing this page to check for new stuff so thanks for posting!

Does the home team always get to ride the actual track a lot the weeks before the event? For some reason I thought they couldn't. That's cool though if they do... just don't remember teams doing that in the past.

That was the only MXON I have ever been to, probably the coolest race I have ever watched. Zolder ruled! At 13 years old, meeting RC and Ferry and getting their autographs was unreal.
