He's on the gas on that two-stroke! Railing it coming out of those corners!

Such a goofy style but blazing fast at times...gotta love big Ken.

That is why I'm picking myself up a 250 again soon - it just looks like so much fun. Great vid!

Awesome, how bad is his ankle he hurt?
Strijbos is way faster that he's been all season right now and would've been my pick for the MXdN team

Gotta keep Ken, he did good this season. Gotta switch van Horebeek for Strijbos tho. No clue why Smets choose van Horebeek over Strijbos. Great rider but Strijbos did better this season.

I think Kawasaki can get hold of a better MX2-bike than Suzuki. None of them seem to stack up to the KTM's or even Yamahas this season, but the Kawasaki is the better between the two when it comes to power.

Great video BTW!

no, you are correct. for whatever reason its categorized over at vurbmoto as being from 2012. figured it was an old video that was reposted.

Ken de Dycker Loving the 2-Stroke

Because Ken de Dycker is a legend, he decided to ride a 2 stroke in the International Open class at the last round of the Belgian MX Championships, so we were on hand to provide this short video of his exploits at the awesome Mont St Guibert track

You might want to look at the results from the season, big Ken was generally the faster of the two. Strijbos did have a great season too though, best he's been in years. It's always cool when two veterans step up and put it to the younger guys who come in with all the hype and expectation.

Maybe because Strijbos never really rode small bikes. He was racing GP on a 250 2 stroke at 16. And his style suit the 450 much better. VH raced MX2 last year, he must remember how to do it.

Hey! I know that style...that is some old school USSR stuff...I've seen that Big-Foot lookin' style on a Katoom ...before.
Hey! ...wait-a-tic!

When did Guennady Moisseev have a Kid...that races 2 strokes?

Do the Americans know the "Russians" are coming?

Man, I gotta keep up on the Euro-scene.

From http://moto.mpora.com

In the opening race, Strijbos again rounded the first turn in the lead and managed to build-up a comfortable lead on Shaun Simpson (Yamaha). Ken De Dycker (KTM) – who was already crowned as Champion of the series at the last round – was gaining momentum on a 250 two-stroke, but pulled out mid-race before he reached the top three of Simpson and Febvre. Strijbos was able to control the remainder of the race to take the win as fellow Suzuki-man Steve Ramon finished eighth.

Awesome! Damn, the sound!!!! Pinned!!! Looks like he's having fun on it as well. Pretty cool he's doing it, maybe it's a PR stunt from KTM, but whatever reason, this made me tic.

Strijbos has out peformed Ken in the last few GPs but the decision was made a while ago and Ken often seems to raise his game,he can come through the pack well too when he's on it

Van Horbeek was fast on the 250 last year, maybe that's why they went for him, rough on Strijbos at the end of the day,not sure if the 250 was an option for him?

Big hills, huge man, and a field of 450s and he road up to 3rd before dropping out. That takes some serious skill, I knew that 250sx made some power but watching him climb behind the 450s was impressive.

KTM probably let him borrow that 250, because he has his BRO card.

"Just because i wanted to" -> "KTM made me ride it so more people buy these things"

Not that its a bad bike.. just that KTM does want the publicity for these machines.

It couldn't possibly be because Pro riders, just like the majority of the average riding public, find 2 strokes to just be more fun to ride?

Not everything has an agenda behind it.
