Go watch Steel City 2011, what happened? RV 1-1 and yes, RD was on the "superior" Suzuki. Nail biter last lap pass at the finish first moto with runaway second moto victory.

Agree... with you, I think outcome would be same.

Always hear people talk about flex vs rigid. Both Canard and RV are running twin wall and alum frames. Barcia runs a fat bar.... Dungey is on fat bar and steel frame (I assume more flex than other bikes)

I dont know who would go faster on what but I do know that the KTM looks like a Ford Pinto with bad shocks and needing a front end alignment compared to RVs Kawi. Both RV and his bike are dialed in perfect. Dungey's bike moves around and doesnt track no where as good as RVs bike.

RV has been taking championships away from RD since 2007. Suzuki, Kawasaki, KTM, 250, 450, it doesn't matter. RV just has RD's number, kinda like Liddell had Ortiz number. Comprende.

I think you are seeing a perfect match between man/machine. It is really hard to say. If RV switched to any other brand next year and RD stayed where he is it might be just enough to even things up

No shit sherlock! Where did I say that he didnt? If you cant see that RVs bike looks alot better then the KTM then you need glasses. Rv is right now what McGrath,RC and JS7 were in their time. He is dominating but his time will be up and the next guy will take over.

How about if they swap suspension instead of bikes? Could Dungey be better off with Showa suspension instead of WP? Supposedly the Team Kawi switch from KYB to Showa helped RV quite a bit.

i really think the ktm is holding dungey back , it looks horrible , on the track , do i think it would make him faster than villo on say a suzi , no , but i def think he would be a lot closer ,and also think if villo was on the ktm , them near crashes all yr ,he saved on the kawi ( which was amazing skill imo) the KTM would of bit him and he would of been down hard , its still the worse 450 out there imo , handling wise , with a great motor , dungey needs off that bike if he want to beat villo imo

I own both '13 bikes and like both for different reasons. The KTM is so refined it literally looks like a piece of art. As far as what I could compare on the bikes that are still relatively the same on their race bikes is how the bikes feel. The Kawi is so rigid and feels so stable. The KTM feels almost like a 125. It is so nimble at lower speeds and is somewhat squirmy at high speeds.

Both riders are so ridiculously close, thinking Dungey's bike is to blame for his second place is just ignorance. Villopoto has an animal instinct and is so much more aggressive. Looking at Dungey's personality, I would never guess he was one of the best mx riders in the world. He is so humble and soft spoken. I think that comes across in his riding. If he could learn to be and ass when it's needed and attack from the beginning how Villopoto does, we would have a different outcome.

I foresee Millsaps proving a factory bike is a factory bike this next season.
