I'm really surprised to see the lack of love to Justin Brayton for his win at X games.

He's a clean cut, hard working, Midwest dude who just never quits! He's a roll model for every kid on a dirt bike. The sport needs more guys like him.

I looked around for a good article I read about him (I think on Vurb) talking about how he just keeps busting his ass and working hard towards his goals. I couldn't find it but I believe he was at Club MX with the Martin brothers getting ready for Southwick.

Anyways, just giving some credit where credit is due.

Great race!, I was rooting for him when I saw him settle behind Hill.

Did anyone catch his interview over on RacerX?

He talked about how relaxed he is at AX type events, or any other smaller event. Said he likes the laid back atmosphere and there is less pressure.

Perhaps his recent struggles are attributed to the Mental side of the sport? I always expected him to run a little further up in the pack and I can't help but think the pressure on the big stage affects him negatively.

Not knocking the guy, I do believe he has the talent.

I was really impressed with his ride, and it's rather disappointing that most of the comments I've read have been along the lines of "I was really hoping for Hill to win". Brayton hasn't exactly had an injury free career either, he was faster, put on a great show for everybody, and earned it.

Good for him!

I don't think he was invited was he? It would of been cool to see him out there with jlaw since his face was on his fender and all

He was invited.
Hanny's wrist are pretty banged up and have been for some time.
They were so after the whip show and Step up and chose to sit out.

I wanted JB to punt Hill into the cheep seats by the 10th lap, he almost blew it being Mr. Nice Guy.

JB gets overlooked because he's a quiet & chill guy that has never been a part of any controversy...and because he's pretty much been a top-10-at-best guy this year. He and Grant both make the JGR Yamaha look good, and I hope this lights a fire under his butt for the rest of the outdoor series. Is his ride for JGR up at the end of 2013, or is he with them for 2014 too?

I would have expected Brayton to be up there with his background in Arenacross. The circuit was very tight. I honestly believe if Chad didn't crash he would have won but oh well, it's a part of racing. Brayton is a solid hardworking dude, I don;t think he is underrated.

Me too. I've never understood why people root for the guy that looks over his shoulder the whole time and tries to brake check people instead of pulling away from them. Some guys just want it rammed up their rear I guess???

I forgot, are we talking about Hill or Alessi?.
