Yamaha Yamahopper QT50 motor and drive mated to a Mongoose BMX frame. 60cc big bore head from a Yamaha YFM. KTM 65 pipe, custom reed cage, 19mm Mikuni, and whatever else was laying around. It gets hairy at around 45 mph but it hasn't blown up yet.
I really need to brush up on my welding skills. Crazy fun!

My wife just bought this. For a small kid back in 1975, this had to have been the absolute most kick ass 2 stroke ever. Resto soon....

By the way, the best looking Stock Enduro bikes in my opinion:

2012 GASGAS EC 300

2013 GASGAS EC 300

My first post and I thought I'd share my 05 YZ125. OK, so maybe it's not kick ass nor even MX for that matter, but it IS the most fun bike I've ever owned! I race Aussie dirt track on this and in my class (Over 35s) I am reasonably competitive - nothing like racing a little buzzbomb in a field of 450s...

This would be a really fun lightweight "grippy" go anywhere bike with that rear tire!

Haha I took this pic at Washougal in '09, I think. The reason it's so small and shitty was because it was my old flip phone. I had to send em to this online photo account thing thru verizon, then download it, then upload it to imageshack lol Glad it's still making the rounds!

It is ok, that bike was bad ass! Could you imagine if Josh had raced that bike at a supercross? People would go nuts!!!!!!

Very nice photos and thanks for sharing.

Maico cylinder needs work IMO. If you are going to shave the cylinder either do it the way Greg Smith did at Wheelsmith or don't bother. Wheelsmith cut the fins (mill?) so all the shaved fins and a straight edge to them and not rounded off like the Maico pictured.
