Not trying to bag on Mike, but how hard did Dungey have to push last year?

How hard does he have to ride this year?

Isn't Alessi running Ohlins suspension?

I's say he has suspension covered.

Same suspension that had no race time in SX, but amazingly made Osbourne shine in SX 2012, that now wont hold up in motocross? Maybe it's the Suzuki? Maybe it's the tires? Maybe it's the engine? I mean no way it's the about rider or settings...

RV's suspension was running 5 seconds faster than the honda factory suspension. I believe Mike could run closer to Dungey's speed if he were given some factory assistance in electronic mapping department. His suspension and motor looks dialed in. He just has to open up that throttle a little more.

Set-Up the stuff he has...more testing...find the right settings.

And that's if I'm assuming that you guys aren't way off on this issue.

On the other hand: He DID get 3rd in the 2nd Moto.

I'm jus' sayin'...

Alessi's bike seemed to handle a lot better than many of the other bikes, including those of some factory teams. I'd say suspension isn't the problem (if there is a problem). It took a few weeks, but it seems Mike is coming on strong. I honestly wouldn't be surprised to see him win a moto or 2 in the next few rounds.

I'd still like to know what the new technology was that they took the last couple rounds of supercross off in order to test. Or did they just want to pull out of that series to get a head start preparing for outdoors?

Agree. We were watching Alessi and it just looked like he wasn't comfortable pushing it as hard vs the other guys. Guys not slow by any stretch of the imagination but he won't hold it open as long as the other guys. He's stil smoking tons of guys. He deserves some credit. The guy is cool too he's straight up and says he simply does not have the speed for those guys just yet.

Has Mike said his suspension needs to be better? Suspension isn't changing where Mike finishes.

Besides the point guyb. I still would like to see him get the factory suspenders.

Mike had a factory bike untill his dad took the shock apart with a leatherman and couldn't figure out how to put it back togather

.Why would any factory team give Mike anything with his dad around ?

Even though the "most stacked field ever" hasn't panned out come race time... Mike is probably qualifying a lill' further down than usual thus affecting his gate selection(poorer). Combine that with a gate full of "champions" who are also pretty good starters themselves overall and well, no holieo's for Mikey.

At least that's my .02's, could be something else altogether.

or just maybe mike just isnt as good as the likes of dungey, villopoto and everyone else that regularly beats him?

seems like he should go back to last years suspension? That bike hasnt changed much other than the forks. Why not use last years set up? Tracks havent changed much either other than Muddy Creek and Utah.....
