Man, I feel for Tony more than anyone. That man has spent countless hours remastering and uploading videos for our enjoyment . I doubt (unless somehow Tony finds it worth doing again) we will ever have a channel like Tony's again.
Damn it! What i'm gonna do with my free hours now? Was so nice, just knowing where to find good racing... Why would somebody possibly claim copyright :/
Maybe if we knew who made the claims, we could get somewhere. I know that people need to protect their work but when you shelve the stuff and keep it from the fans, that is BS.

Tony tweeted this earlier today. The copyright claims came from Duke Video. I seriously doubt there's anything to fight since they own the rights to the videos they complained about. Is what it is.
Tony, you could always upload the videos to a site like vimeo or dailymotion. They're smaller than youtube, and companies are a lot less likely to check them for content; especially small companies like duke video.

Wonder how much of that content was Duke's.
Put the rest back up?
The whole deal is a real bummer for sure. I never made any money from this and it was never a business venture. I spent hundreds of hours posting those videos for the good of the sport. We are such an insulated small community with very little sense of history I thought it was important to keep that sense of history alive. My hope was to provide something like an NFL Films for Moto with the Motocrmoss Vault, and for a while it worked.
Duke Vidieo apparently owns the rights to a lot of our races as well as the GP stuff they produce. Even though they do nothing to promote it or even make he stuff available for people to buy anymore, legally it is theirs. The sad thing is so much of what I had posted is just not for sale. I was not trying to cut someone out of thier ability to make money on the stuff ( which is why I did not post any newer stuff I have) I just wanted it available for fans period.
One way or another I think Duke has done the sport a great disservice by shutting down my channel, but like it or not they owned the rights to the 1994 Supercross Season review so we are all screwed. It is sad that three vids they wanted removed pulls down 500 more, but that is the way it works. I had been slowly removing vids as they complained and pulled all my GP and MXDN stuff last year after they put a take down on the 89 MXDN and a GP vid. I wanted to be safe so I just pulled everything that I thought they might have a claim to. Unfortunately' they have also purchased the rights to a lot of our races as well at some point and even though they do not sell any of the content, it is theirs to do with as they please.
I was up to nearly 2 million views on the channel and I'm glad people came and got to enjoy it. See you at the races.

I suppose we could appeal to their sense of fair play. Or something.
Anyway, thanks Tony.
