I dented the hood on his car, badly.
He never cared and laughed it off.
He gave me his hotel room in Phoenix once too.
Thanks for being a good friend, thanks for introducing the internet to professional motocross.
Motonews was incredible, his photos were exceptional.
RIP bud. I'm saddend

Rest in peace Steve.
You really don't know how many lives you touched with your kind heart. You were moto to the core and the MX community has just lost a great ambassador.
RIP TFS.. The sport of motocross lost an innovative man today. Prayers for the family.
RIP TFS - You were the original moto-gangster and you'll be missed.
From day one, from the day we met, he treated me and my little new business like we were as important as every big name company you can think of.
Many people in this industry should take a lesson from that.
Godspeed, Steve

Pit Row
He really helped me out when he didn't have to...like the rest of the stories.
HOF in the sport for sure.
TFS was cool. He was only too willing to offer advice on a non-moto project I was part of.
RIP Steve.
Entrepreneur, innovator, star gazer, dreamer. Lover of people. Lover of motocross. Not fair.
You believed in us, You believed in motocross.
You cannot leave like this.
Although I never had the pleasure of meeting him in person, and he didn't post here much in recent years, many of his thoughts over in Non-Moto always stuck with me (in a good way).
And I literally laughed out loud on more than one occasion while reading his Seat Bounce posts and exchanges with RC16. Good times.
RIP, TFS
I went places through your photographs that I wouldn't have been able to go otherwise - thank you for that.
Like so many here, I at first always thought Steve to be a ass, until we met at Redbud a few years back.
It was just a chance meeting along the fence, but he really was a lot different from his "forum" persona. After he lost weight, we emailed back and forth about weight issues, etc... and he always treated me respectfully and offered me help along the way about diet and health issues.
Even though we hadn't corresponded in over a year, I always enjoyed talking with him. Godspeed friend, and may you rest in peace.
