How is this guy still allowed in the lites class? He's been in it since 2005 when he first moved here. Hes like the south american version of David Pingree

He lost by 1 position in 1 race. Pretty darn close to being the most consistent person in the class.

Fastest? No. More consistent? By a tiny amount.

You Vitards act like because he won by a point, it was a blowout and nobody could touch him. It could have just as easily gone the other way, so give credit where credit is due. They are both awesome riders with bright futures.

But had he not crashed out two or three times and ridden tight in Salt Lake he would have easily won the title.

I don't agree with Mohammed above, while they were clearly to two stand out performers in the West series Tomac had the edge over Roczen in terms of outright speed. Roczen's consistency won him the title.

When KRoc has been behind the gate, he has not finished lower than 2nd. You cant say that with Tomac. If Gaico havent paid the US riders to take out KRoc last week he would have won the Championchip there.. :-) The best rider won, no doubt about that..

Posts like these make me realize that there are some "special" people following this sport.

Geico payed privateers to take out Roczen, you heard it hear from Goat72.

No dumber than all the people saying Davalos let Roczen by, cause he wanted him to win the championship. Goat72 is just using a classic satire technique.

Yep... it looked bad at the live event. Looked real bad.

Different on TV, Martin made big error and KROC capitalized

Unreal complaining. All that will be rememberd is that Roczen is the champion....no cheating. He was the fastest most consistent rider. Davalos did not let him by any easier than he let Tomac by. Roczen was charging like madman and there isn't anyone that could keep him out of second. Quit your whining pussies!

I would not call it like mad man. The only mad man on the track was Tomac who started mid pack and passed KROC and Martin. KROC is a champion and rode like champion.

Granted, taking the piss, as we say, pretty much like the title of the thread and some.of the other posts, as you say

Both guys have had good and bad luck,it's been an up and down year all around, like Roczen's been fastest qualifyer then Tomac's won and for example and so on, they've both had highs and lows, but as for last night they were both going to get Davalos anyway

no body said that ,what we said was davalos just gave up period. he didnt even try to get him back in the next corner, he just sat oin his seat and let him by with two corners to go. there was no sense of urgency at all. at least weimer was going for it and tryed to get positions back and di many times

Both Tomac and Kroc are unreal. If you threw out the bad race for both. DNF for Tomac and DNQ for Roczen. It really came down to Tomac choking in that second to last round. One more position over people he had been smoking all year and he would of had it and really should have by all accounts. But that is racing and the one with the most points wins. I can not wait to see them on 450's full time. Davalos too.

fastest all year or most consistent?

Eli was so close...the DNF, the crash at Seattle, and the "choking" last week was just too much to over come.

But lets get something straight, Eli was certainly "the fastest all year"

Just look at the shootout and you can see that your logic faults. Both riders was really really fast.

Yeah Im surry Tomac was stoked to be on the line again after losing the title what, an hour before the race.

To say Eli was not faster is not only an insult to Eli, its a joke, regardless of who you like more.

Through a computer screen, yeah sometimes. You got me though so I apologize.

On the subject at hand, Tomac and Roczen both deserved the title. They wre by far the fastest riders in the class. I just can't believe Martin gave very little fight for the win or to hold onto 2nd. Once he got passed by both, he didn't even try and fight back which is very disappointing considering how talented he is.

Anyone who says a single rider/race is what a championship for another rider pivots on is mentally challenged.

Post a reply to: Davalos backed off for that one huh?
