Is that an Inspection Sticker? Street legal?

BTW... I see you in the glass, and I'm thinking your avitar is not really you!!!
Part of me picture a gallon of some sort of hi tech expensive lube, related to that Meg appendix? Maybe you were on the same page here... Grinning

Damn that's a nice ride, 18" rear rim? I really picture that bike as the most attractive ride for the moment, I think E-start is totally retarded though, but it's not a such a major concern considering the whole package is damn appealing. Kind of have everything many of us crave for.

I hope to see a vid in the near future. I picture Peelout being a pretty decent rider...

i've never had a problem kick-starting a bike... but you won't find me complaining that i can push a button, especially on a Hare-Hound dead-engine banner drop start.

our track was just re-designed and i've only been on it once. as soon as i'm feeling comfortable, i'll upload a go-pro vid with all that sweet-ass 300 two-stroke sound included.

True that, I'm one of those that get anxiety just seeing the figures of added weight, but I know it means shit for dragging my vet-B ass around track.

Yeah, make sure to post that vid up at some point. We can newer get enough of those, and just the sound is anti depressants material to start with.

Black rims? Maybe I'm asking for to much...

Part of me wants to upload a GoPro on my CR sometime this summer, but then the other part of me (the one that knows I have rode a handful of times in the past 3 years) thinks that's not such a good idea for my ego. We'll see...

Welcome to the club Peelout. I spoke with my wallet a couple months ago and never been happier. Holeshotting 2013 450's on my 2009 YZ125 brings a huge smile to this old dudes face.

I did by my daughter a DRZ-70 (4 stroke) as a starter bike, but she'll be switching to a 2 stroke soon as well. She's progressing nicely and I see a little 50sx in her near future.

I actually know the guy you bought that from.

As far as the tank - in all reality, just put the necessary fuel in it - with that tank it'll sit lower than the SX tank and provide a better (lower) center of gravity, right?

I'd keep the Tubliss in - especially if you just do moto. I run it front and rear for off road around here and it's all good.

Keep in mind Slavens is 100% off road oriented. Not sure how it will be for moto.

That's awesome! Great guy!

I adjusted the clickers to some specs I found on MXA and took it to the track today, felt right at home on it. The suspension didn't bother me at all. I think the heavier springs help because I'm a lighter guy, and the power was awesome. Never ridden a 300 before today and I was blown away. The tank will probably stay as well, nothing like smoking a bunch of $10k four strokes with a desert tank haha

I've ridden with the dude a few times in a group. He seems to go through phases of "selling the bike". He always seemed to keep his stuff clean; I'm sure it's solid.

I have a '10 SX setup for off road and run the 2.34g tank for the same reason - I have the SX tank and never use it.

300s are killer - I had one before my current 250. Next bike will probably be another 300 again. I like the over-rev of the 250, but for off road races the low end of the 300 is a big plus. That 300 will be bullet-proof; you'll really dig it. Dump any of the off-road stuff on KTMtalk and it'll sell immediately I'm sure (like that link-skid). Might want the regular FMF silencer though for more top...maybe.

I rode a 300 waaay back in 1999 or something and ever since the 4 strokes have taken over I've thought that setting one up for mx would be the perfect bike

the noise of a 2 stroke on pipe makes me miss riding so so much and I'd be on one for sure

so I'm torn between being stoked for you and wanting you to go fuck yourself

naaaah you're alright it's good shit!!

the 300's the last few years are a by product of the 250sx tech, not anything like the 300's from 99. much better engines. I never liked the older 300 motor.

x2 on keeping the tubliss. mine has been flawless through 2 seasons of 3 hour hare scrambles @8psi. easy tire changes and no dents even on my cheap warp 9 wheel. i found a little trick to the wheels also after destroying one with fresh lubed good condition bearings in one race. the spacer between the bearings is either to short or to soft causing side load on the bearings when the rear axle is torqued to spec. I replaced them with some oem inner spacers and have not had any more problems.

yeah I went ahead and assumed they've had advancements and to be honest can't really remember the motor from back then

'the perfect bike' meaning a 250 with a bit more power to take on the 450's
