just picked up my new toy yesterday. was going to try to get a '13 SX250 but i found this girl at a great price!
2012 XC250 with the 300SX kit. supposedly less than 40 hours on the bike and only 15 on the 300 kit. couple dingers on the pipe but nothing major. hopefully the weather holds up and i'll take her for the first ride today.
anyone know where to get a SX fuel tank for a decent price? the large tank will be titties in the desert, but not so much for the track..

yeah definitely, have some numbers being built at the moment but wasn't sure what direction to go on the graphics. i don't really race anymore so company logo's are a lost cause for me. hopefully i'll have some new skins within the month. also have some new Bridgestone M404/M403 coming.
Is that an Inspection Sticker? Street legal?
BTW... I see you in the glass, and I'm thinking your avitar is not really you!!!
Let us know how she rides when you get her on the track.....

Be interested to know how you like the wp suspension once you ride it
My riding buddy has just picked up the exact same bike last week. And he F'ing loves it.
After riding it, I'm thinking of selling my 125 for the first time.
Awesome Vid
I wouldn't worry too much about the tank, go out and try it, might not be worth the hassle.
Congrats, if it sounds anything like the one in the vid I bet you're excited!
that actually is exactly what changed my mind on getting the XC300. i was thinking about a 250SX and upgrading to the 300 kit, but i saved over 2k buying this one with the kit already installed. i was laying in bed one morning and watched that video, talk about morning wood haha! the guy also put the fmf turbine silencer on it, it sounds mean!
the suspension has been re-done by Slavens (?) for a 220lb rider. i'm about 170 but riding at an expert level, was going to see how it feels today before i do anything major there. the electric start is sweet too!
thanks for all the good responses, perhaps i'll hang onto the clear tank after all. i'll poke back in here tomorrow with a report on the bike (first ride)
Pit Row
my buddy just bought a '13 SX250, maybe i'll see if i can borrow his tank for a day and see if i can feel a difference. the SX tank definitely looks better, but the black is a poor design for checking your fuel level.
that's already taken off. he called it a "Glide Link", i assume it would be great for rocky rides but it's pretty heavy
Slavens is the known guru for KTM setup regarding off-road. Not sure how it will work for moto. But one thing I have noticed amongst many regarding the differences in Jap vs KTM is on my Honda I would normally adjust two clicks and go from there to feel any difference. On the KTM one click is very noticeable . Also all the components are top notch and are solid.
Ex you know how your controls get sloppy after a few years of abuse? My 02 KTM 520 rear brake lever still feels new with no play!
Little things like that add up to me.
Oh and get use to 13mm bolts.
Look fwd to the Ride Report.
@ CRF250
Thanks! it does have electric start and it works awesome
Viva la 2-stroke revolucion!
