How come whenever someone, let's say a factory rider, a rider on a team, a privateer, a mechanic, a team owner, someone affiliated with the sport in an official capacity, gets arrested or does something stupid...it's no ones business? Unless you're J-Law, then it's everyone's business. It's almost like the government....just shut up, do as you're told, and only listen to the 'official' information given to you, and if you deviate from the official narrative or ask any questions deemed inappropriate, then you will be outcast and told again to STFU....it's none of your business.
The one big difference was that J Law got arrested at the races (i.e. the Red Bud incident) so it was at the forefront. And the Texas rental car deal he did not get arrested but again it happened at the track.

Basically everyone else had issues away from the track where unless they want to talk about it it is hard to find out what exactly happened. When you do things at the track in front of everyone it makes a much bigger story.

Call it ignorant but I have lived all over this country. The way things are done down south compared to the way things are done up here in Yankee country are completely different. Down south people will turn a blind eye to a whole lot more than people will up here. You can also get by on who you know and your last name way more than you can up North. Its my perspective and I have actual life experience to back that up. Most people on here have probably never lived outside the 20 mile radius that they were raised in.

Not to people in the south. If you are from up north you are a Yankee PERIOD.

It's public record, , I could care less if some bozo says it's none of your (our) business.

It is interesting to see the remarks though when an issue like this arises.

Cops in the south dont need to graduate highschool to become cops. I used to live in Louisiana and got arrested once for an altercation at a bar with a kid who was buddies with all the bouncers. The cops beat the living hell out of me and cut my neck open when putting me in a headlock. Little did they know that I was friends with the head of internal affairs. They dropped all the charges and had to personally appologize to me in lieu of me not pressing charges. Looking back I wish I would have pressed charges on them hillbilly pieces of shit. Some of the stuff cops get away with down there is unreal and would never happen north of the mason dixon.....

I saw Regals mugshot pic over a week ago when Matthes and JT made vague references to it. I did a google search and came up with it. I wasnt going to start a thread here about it though. I figured the story would come out eventually and it has to some degree.

First thing that came to my mind when I saw the pic a week ago was, "Oh, thats why Regal hasnt been racing all sx season, hes having troubles with the law". So, some clarification on why one of my favorite riders I like to root for isnt out there is nice to have. I also would like to know if he mugged an old lady or got in a brawl with some asshole ( or had problems with a security gaurd). As a fan it makes a difference.

You make the mistake of thinking that I give a fuck what you or anyone on here thinks about me. For a not very bright person, I do very well in this world. The only people who's opinions matter to me are my family and close friends. Oh and OCscottie! Once again I did not say anything that was not true. In Louisiana you can drop out of high-school and go sign up for law enforcement school. I witnessed enough stuff down there to know what I am talking about is true. I never said all cops in Louisiana are hillbilly's. Just the ones I had to deal with on that particular night. If what they did was not wrong then they would not of been so close to losing their badges. If you guys think it is ok for cops to abuse citizens because they have been arrested then there's nothing else I can say. People have rights. It is not ever ok to abuse someones rights because of a certain perceived authority. And it happens across the country I know this. I just believe that it happens more in the south than it does in the North. Go back and read Camp's story about the time he was in jail....

Since you keep bringing it up...almost all of the States don't require a High School Diploma, a GED will do. It's not just Louisiana.

Parish County prison is one of the most corrupt prisons in the US, and their police force, ask any lawman outside of LA.

No way man. Couldn't be. You are just being ignorant! :-) If you know the right people you would be amazed at what you learn. There is so much "old money" in that state its not even funny. And that "old money" runs the show down there! I have a friend in Lake Charles that is tied in and he definitely has some crazy stories!

My buddy was the CofP in OKC, we had some friends visiting in LA and bad things happened to them, we called him, he couldn't help his hands were tied and yeah money solves all problems down there.

Here's a novel idea...just act like a responsible citizen and you won't have any problems. I've been doing it for 46 years and it seems to be working so far. Wink

Not necessarily. The scenario I am referencing all went down because we were out at the bar and a girl a bouncer liked was into me and not into him. I was not a local and he was. He got all his bouncer buddies to throw me out of the club for dancing near the stage. He said I was drunk and falling down and causing problems with other people at the bar. The girl and her friends were saying wait why are you throwing him out? I was not overly intoxicated nor did I do anything wrong. The bouncers were buddies with the young cops stuck on drunk duty and working the bar scenes in Lake Charles. They roughed me up and hauled me into jail for resisting arrest. They had no reason to arrest me. Now should I have just sat there and taken it? If someone has a badge it does not mean that they have morals. They thought that I would just shut up and take it because that's what everyone else does when they do that shit to people. They were wrong and if I would of pushed the issue it would of cost them their jobs.

http://courtecom.dallascounty.org/pav/

If you go to the link above and put in the Case Number F1352630 it will bring up the different documents related to the case. If you click on any if these documents, it will bring up PDF's of the court documents that have been filed. It shows it as a Felony Robbery with the bond of $3500.00. It has a document where his defense attorney files court papers asking for copies of the motels video surveillance tapes. His attorneys name is Mark Lassiter.

There is a document where he requests a court appointed attorney as he doesn't have the means to afford an attorney on his own. It says the charges are in Criminal District Court #2

I'm on my phone so if the link doesn't work you might have to cut and past. Sorry

If you put the last name in the above engine,it pulls up the booking docket. It doesn't show a dismissal code in the record as of yet. Maybe they have a backlog and it hasn't been updated yet.

Well you started it LOL. I know we all get on the rag now and again (including me), but I took offense to the slam you made on the South. In the end we are all moto heads and would probably have a good time riding together.

The thing that stood out in the court documents is the random UAs. Is that standard for all folks out on bail or is it something specific to the case?

Regal is innocent until proven guilty by a court of law, and I haven't seen anything that indicates he has been convicted of any crime.

maybe just a brief moment of stupidity that got out of hand.

With media and social media now We don't need courts, everyone is tried and convicted publicly.
