I don't understand why everyone puts so much faith in Dungey. He is a great rider with tons of talent and puts the work in but, in the outdoors where does everyone honestly stack him against Villopoto and Stewart. IF those two are on the gate, healthy, and keep it on two wheels, Dungey is going to be hanging out in 3rd. Alessi, will pull some holeshots, sprint for a few laps, road block for a few more, and then fade to the back. I think Stewart will have the most pressure out of all them to produce good results, that might wreck my predictions.

1 and 2 will depend on mistakes, Dungey will ride a solid race just not at the pace of 1/2. I think Reed will take a while to get up to speed, and will be battling more a few rounds in. crap, forgot to put Canard in there, that messes my predictions up. Tomac, what class is he going to be in for the Nationals? Can I just give 4th to Barcia, Tomac, Reed, and Canard?

To leave either Ryan off the podium would be silly. That's never happened when both are racing besides mechanicals. It'll be interesting to see if Villopoto has a slow start like 2011.

Stewart may be a bit more prepared for the start of the series due to pulling out of SX early while RV, RD, and Millsaps are still focused on SX. Then again he has wrist and knee issues so he may be worse off. If Stewart does start the season strong I doubt he will be able to maintain once the Ryan's get rolling.

Predicting Baggett and Villopoto will need at least one race to get back into their groove. I think the Outdoors are going to be a lot harder to step back into comparative to Supercross. I think Villopoto will rise back up (in the outdoor scene) faster than Baggett. He learned his lesson in 2011.

I am totally on the Dunge wagon. However Hangtown is not one of his good tracks. How about we finish the circus first before we talk about outdoors...

2011....Chad started out better than I expected if that is what you were referring to, RV started off slow, and no JS7 in the mix. If I remember correctly that was the year it seemed like RV's fitness wasn't that great at the beginning of the season. I don't think he will have a problem with fitness this year. As for Dungey, he is a great rider, but if Stewart and Poto are up to their normal pace outdoors, Dungey is going to be chasing them around the track, if they make mistakes, which is highly probable with Stewarts history, Dungey will be there to take advantage. I hope that I am underestimating Dungey and the other two are up to speed, because that would make for some great battles.

Dungey is riding well right now and is stronger outdoors IMO. Depending on how healthy James is at that point I think RV, RD and James all have a good shot at the win. Hard to bet against a Ryan right now though. Im just excited to see some damn racing! Outdoors are where its at for the hard back and forth battles all through the field. A start doesnt mean a win when the race is longer than 12 minutes. Smile

So why isn't James challenging for the SX title? Is it his knee? Something is up. The guy is in his prime.

If his knee is a problem in 20 min. races on smooth tracks, how is it not a problem on nasty ruts and braking bumps for 35 min.?

Why do so many people think James will find race readiness that he has rarely shown all year? I hope James lines up this summer, but I'm worried he'll decide to get the knee fixed for 2014 SX.

And Reed is still talking about his knee(pain, getting it drained). Injuries like this could make the end of Chad's career really tough or really short(or both).

That said, Go Chad, Go James. I want to see them challenge the Ryans, and school the new kids.
