The JGRMX Toyota Yamaha Team will compete in the AMA Supercross, which opened on January 5. The riders are Josh Grant, who was ranked 17th last year due to injuries, and Justin Brayton, ranked fourth. The machine will be the YZ450F.
In Japan, the Yamaha YSP Racing Team will compete in the top IA1 Class of the All Japan Motocross Championship. Riders Takase Tanaka, ranked 13th due to injuries early last season, and Yu Hirata, ranked third last year, will seek to recapture the championship with a YZ450FM factory machine.
The main sponsor of the Yamaha YSP Racing Team is YSP (Yamaha Sports Plaza) a dealership of Yamaha sports bikes, and local YSP shop managers and proprietors will take turns serving as managers in each race in the "Area Manager System".[/i][/u]
