So, I was cruising around the craft store looking at knitting yarn like a boss and I found this gem. I'm going to wire my grips in a couple different colors for some flavor, just thought you guys might like to try this.

I have tried using copper wire on my grips before, but I found it was too soft and kept breaking when I tried to tighten it.

It might look cool if you can get it to work, though. Different, at least.

Its plated also, so theres a little extra strength, but I have yet to find out.

my buddy is a mechanic and i went by his house the other day and a customer had a '10 crf 250 with electrical wire on his grips..didnt look too comfy..

ODI lock-ons. includes a throttle tube, and cost as much as a throttle tube.

Grip-it grip glue is great. I think it is the same as the ProTaper glue.

I use to scuff all the mating surfaces, clean with acetone, spray some primer and install the grips. Never had one come loose. I once had an older school racer tell me to brush some gas on the outside to get extra grip. It was the best trick. The grips molded to my hands and were so sticky. UNTIL IT RAINED!!! P.S. older school racer raced flat track.

Might be a bit soft, but it will look cool for detail freaks like me. Tongue

Personally, I've never used grip glue. Always just brake cleaner and safety wire. Never had a grip move.

Buddy of mine got me hooked on clear spray paint instead l glue. Works great for keeping your grips on too.

i usually just use window cleaner to install and thats that. by the time i feel a grip start to slip its time to be replaced anyways.
