Thomas Jefferson was the United States Ambassador to France, so I bet he helped on this.

Joking aside, it's cool to see stuff like this.

Interested manufacturers, you have about 2 weeks to start shitting carbon cans, from the sound of it.

This is a rad idea!

ps- Thomas Jefferson, I have a Scalvini full carbon silencer. They come in aluminum, aluminum/carbon end cap or full carbon

3/22/2013 12:44pm
Oh, ok, they make a full carbon one.

Looks nice.

I have faith that a coule enterprising individuals in the Redding area can produce something equally as nice, and make it more cost effective and accesible to the American market. If not, I'll shoot one man on the White House lawn until it happens.

Have 2 bikes that will require CF silencers, my 1997 Lamson Replica 125, and my 2006 YZ300.

Make it, and they will come.......................

For those of you that've asked via pm & mail...

Tooling, just to get started on the Carbon pieces (canister & end-cap) is on the order of $7500 just to proto the "1st article"...

Don & I have discussed a "Shared Equity" deal...so...

The future looks bright; but, know this: it'll be Hugely Better, Nicer, Lighter & have Much More "Technology" versus what's already out there in the "Carbon Realm"...otherwise...

Why bother?

Also, I have NO Desire & "No Worries" about How Much it'll Cost or being the "Price Leader".

I just want to build a "Works Part" for those that TRULY want it.

I'm jus' sayin'....

The label on the Manolo Ornelas version is going to be pretty large though

"It's like....a Team Green Carbon Silencer...you can use it if you want..

I'm just sayin... it's up to you. Patent Pending...."

Be hard to fit all ^^that^^ on a 125 can, but It'll work.

Great idea guys!! Everyone complains that 4 strokes exhaust cost $1,000+ for full systems. Full PC or FMF 2 stroke systems can be had for about $350 and are lighter than stock to reduce the weight on a bike that is typically already 20 pounds lighter than it's 4 stroke counterpart. Sounds like a great idea to buy a $300 CF silencer for no other reason than "it looks cool and it's rare"

The same could be said for nearly all things we purchase in life. What we need to have versus what we want to have. With that being said you're damn straight I would buy a carbon silencer for my CR125!

Nah!

That's played out.

Besides, we need this thing to be all Gangsta & all like, "Ya better ask Somebody!"

Braaaaap!

Old School Braaaaap Discount should be requested in writing with a self-addressed envelope; so, that we can tell you,"Oh, Hell NO!" In writing!

Btw, Don, you got a "small" version of your current "thang" already in Solid-Works or do we jus' shrink it?
