Where are they now?

Has anyone saw or heard what Billy (Mr. Bill) Jewell is doing now? He raced Maicos and Yamaha's as a CMC 500 Pro, later did try the 500 Nationals. I heard he joined the Army and flew Helo's but haven't heard about him in years.

Scott Sheak came by at the Dilla to say hi and shoot the SH!+ for a while. He has gone through some tough times but is back on track and living in NY again, he and his family have some race Horses. Also he was diagnosed with Congestive Heart Failure wich has slowed him down a bit but is still the same ol Scott I remember when I was growing up!! Still a great guy and would do anything for anyone.

Charlie teaches MX schools and does some trail riding, I think the TORN series, but I could be wrong on that. He is still very fast.

Last I knew, Brian was driving a truck for a poured wall company, running a dozer for them, etc. Living a little west of Flint, MI in a town called Linden just down the road from where he grew up. I know he's married now to the daughter of the former owner of Baja Acres MX and has a couple kids.
Thanks for the update......good to know he's settled down.

I hold Grayson Goodman personally responsible for the death of one of my best friends and moto buddy. Grayson is a piece of shit scum bag. If I ever see him again, he will wish he were dead! Fuckin' drugged out piece of shit of a human being.
Why is Goodman responsible for the death of your friend? If your friend was taking drugs, then your friend made his own choices.

Sorry to hear that about Sheak. Got my own heart issues that have slowed me down and can relate. Scott was an awful good 125 outdoor rider....a chargin' son of a gun for sure.

I wish him the very best.

I agree that my buddy made a horrible choice and it cost him his life. I hold Grayson responsible because he knew Jimmy was "on the wagon" for quite a while, back on his bike, working out and staying away from the shit. Jimmy and the rest of us told Grayson to stay away from Jimmy because nothing good would come out of Grayson being around.

Grayson knew that Jimmy's real friends would kick his ass if he came around while we were there, so he stayed away. However, one night around 1:00AM when Jimmy was home with some chick, Grayson came over to Jimmy's with some ICE and in the morning Jimmy was dead.

I haven't seen Grayson since then and that's probably a good thing for both of us because if I do ever run into him, I'll be going to jail and he'll be going to either the hospital or the morgue.

mike katin jr. is still riding every weekend. if any of you knew him.

Kalos does live in Scottsdale now and doesn't ride much anymore after getting very sick, what I heard was Valley Fever. One of the most talented guys ever on a bike. He was railing turns while standing up in the early 80's before it was cool like Everts. Saw him run down Windham at Glen Helen on a STOCK bike in a Saturday qualifier. Very nice guy.

Willoh can also be seen at various Arizona tracks altho he has a CA license plate on his truck. Also very nice guy!

IIRC Darren Youngblood was murdered about 7-8 yrs ago

Daryl Youngblood and I got rides with a local shop that sold Vertimatti's the summer of 02..The shop ended up dropping Daryl b/c he would never show up to the races with the bike.. The bikes were total POS's and broke constantly. After the 3rd race on the bike I had enough as well and went and bought a yamaha.. I havent talked to Daryl since then

Jason Upshaw is doing time. He is one of Goodman's good friends. The last time I saw his dad I asked what he was up to. He said "waiting". I said "for what?" He says "For me to die."

I wasn't real sure how to take that. It was about 2-3 years ago.

anyone remember a Kevin Brown from Georgia? I met a guy by that name a few years ago that said he was a nationally ranked pro. I'd only been following the sport a couple years by then, so couldn't tell if he was full of it or not.
