I think guys like Hanny, RC and The Dunge should quit being children.

Yeah, I'm sure RC's buried me to him over the years, what are you gonna do? I think I've been fair to him over the years and to be fair to him, he has come on the Pulpmx show once at the beginning and he's done two podcasts w me but from what people tell me, he's not a fan at all.

I asked him a year ago or so what I could do to help our relationship out and he replied that we were all good and that he barely knew me. But then he continues to not be a fan with his actions and words. What can you do? The pits are pretty big and if he and RC are the only two guys who won't talk to me, there are many others that will.
i think dungey is a more private person than many people assume. seems to me anyway...he seems to do what he wants or not wants and doesn't really give a shit what anybody else thinks. just my take...

James is the guy who kinda dethroned him? That's like saying Emig dethroned McGrath...but worse, because Fro actually beat MC out for a title one year. And, I'm right there with RC (I hold a grudge forever), so I can see not doing anything to help the enemy.

JT$, whatcha mean about Matthes ruining our sport? I don't know if you're kidding or not (didn't see any 'lol' or anything.)
Huh Yeah, James gave Ricky hell at the end of his career, and was just as fast, if not faster than him on any given night. It was obvious that James was more on his way in then out, and Ricky was the opposite. James won races and beat RC straight up many times, and like you said, RC doesn't forget.

You obviously don't keep up with Pulp at all if you have to ask about JT's comment................

I am guessing all of the guys here who don't like RC's personality haven't sat down and drank a few beers with him. He is very likable and down to earth when not on the track or having a microphone shoved in his face. Some of you losers need to get a life.

You're right, I haven't sat down and had a beer with him, but what I have done is watch him at the track, and when he has a microphone "shoved in his face." And guess what douchebag, that is the situations we are talking about and he isn't a very likeable or down to earth guy. He is more like a spoiled brat.....

So you are telling me that if I am a egotistical asshole to everyone in the world, but I am nice to my mother, I shouldn't be considered an egotistical asshole by everyone else? Nice try, but that was the most ignorant comment I've ever heard. Do you want us to applaud you for knowing Carmichael personally? He's just a human being who just so happens to be a fast mother fucker on a dirt bike...And the way he carries himself in public will make a difference in what people think about him. I'm sure his parents, family, friends, and you love his personality, but the rest of us "losers" don't know him outside of TV.

I couldn't care less how he is with his buddies, because I see how he is on TV, and that's all I need. Your just a typical fake piece of shit that wants to be sure everyone knows you're a "big shot" that knows Carmichael...You don't know a thing about me, not how I am with my boys and not how I am with a microphone in my face, don't judge me because I have a different view than you on something or someone...............

Well to the casual fan I think he doesnt come across well.

He is a legend in the sport, but legend status doesnt mean you have to act like you are better then everyone else.

New fans, causual fans and the one time watchers of SX may just not watch again because of him. Thats the issue.

I didnt hear KW talking shit to Jeff or putting other people down while he was on the broadcast.

So why must RC do it?

And with your logic, you should never have any hatred, ill will or dislike towards anyone, not even the clowns on vital, because you have never sat down and had a beer with them.

Really? I'm the bitter one? You're the one coming on here calling everyone who doesn't have the same view as you losers...If you can't take it don't start it bud...There are days I'm embarrassed to be associated with human beings because of fake, narrow minded people like you. I do everything I can to always be respectful to everyone I meet, yes sir no sir every time. I will be the nicest guy out there until you say stupid shit like you did, then I can be an asshole. Fuck you....

You're right about Bubba matching his speed, but RC always had him covered in the long run (championships).

You are also right about me not keeping up with Pulp! So what's JT$ comment about? I did listen to the RJ podcast and thought it was really good...

He did interview one of us when Matt Ware ...uh, I mean Grendel was on there a couple years back. My question is what would have happened if RC had actually gotten his gun and killed Matthes? Would Stewie have killed MC's record? And where did Ware and Kandel run off to?
You're my favorite person on here by far. Smile Awesome.

Let's just apply Occam's Razor (The simplest explanation is usually the right one.) Perhaps Dungey just doesn't like to do interviews.

Panties get in a bunch around here for the littlest thing. Who gives a fuck. It's a show on the internet, not the race.

I agree, I was just saying that James was the guy that could finally match RC's speed...I didn't put it in the best way so that's my bad. As far as Pulp, JT is just really sarcastic, and he busts Steve balls a lot, and it's hilarious. lol Laughing

I don't get that feeling from Emig. I feel like Emig has to really watch what he says around RC so that RC doesn't jump at him. But I could be wrong, maybe I'm so focused on RC I miss it. Lol

Sometimes two (or more) things can be true at the same time. Everyone has rough edges, that doesn't necessarily make them a jerk, just human.

Like I said, I don't think it serves RC or his fans well to stand Matthes up on a podcast interview. My lasting impressions from the rider interviews Steve has done is a richer sense of the men and a better understanding of the history of the sport and their role in it. In 40 years of being a fan, they are one of the best things ever offered up to the people who love the sport and its history. I think RC is losing sight of the forest for the trees on this one, but it's his right to do what he wants and leave us scratching our heads on it.

There are plenty of great moto media dudes out there (like GuyCool that Dungey and RC will talk to over and over so it's not those guys can't get whatever message they have out there. I don't even see why starting a thread about this is worth it to be honest.

You learn a bit about people when you see them in stressful situations outside of their comfort zone. I have been lucky to take a few riders into a very stressful situation- the ICU of a hospitals oncology pediatric ward. Seeing young children with severe cancer is not pretty.

RC did this tour in Seattle one year and it is my favorite moto memory. Him pulling a little red wagon filled with swag for the patients. He did this by himself, there was no PR person around. Just him, his wagon, and a desire to help give some very sick children a reason to smile that day.

He personified what a champion is to me that day. I have seen DeCoster race, Magoo, Lackey, etc. no memory is stronger than RC for me that day.

That's how I see RC. A good human who gives back.
