The claim behind it is that it will create a vortex, kinda like a tornado, and create a smoother flow into your carb, while doing this it cools the intake charge and you get more plenum volume.

It is the same thing as the super sucker.

It should add some ponies but not enough to really tell a diference. For 30 bucks you could try it and not feel ripped off if it doesn't work.

It may create a vortex but it also turns your carbs intake into the size of an 80s...

From what I know and have been told, there is some truth but a lot of it is hokey

On a two-stroke, if you can create an intake vortex (spin) through the intake, which is typically straightline, it can produce additional power, so long as the intake diameter is not reduced by the vortex initiator (ring, wing, blade, fan). Reason is, it flattens out and somewhat compresses the air/fuel mixture and reduces turbulation...making it flow through smoother.

On a four-stroke, the concept is fairly bogus because intakes are rarely straightline and with all the twists and bends in the intake, along with the valve itself, it diminishes any real value.

Reminds me of those crank wheels that had fins ground into them on 2-strokes......another opp to fool some.

this is what i know...on multi port fuel injected vehicles it does nothing, because the air\gas are mixed in the cylinder, but if the air\gas are mixed together before entering the combustion chamber, the vortex spin *atomizes* (sp?) better creating a better burn. i doubt it does crap for a bike because the significance is so small, plus inserting this will make your carb's overall intake diameter smaller, which will creat a more rich mixture after installing. awesome...

i think my grandma could of taken a better pic of the product too...lol

Wow, you think the AMA will allow it? After all it's a "TURBO RING".

Lots of engineering goes into why your airbox is how it is. This is for the majority of riders. Why the vents on the side are shaped the way they are, why the fender is how it is. From there they have to make adjustments to the actual working of the bike. This is how it bends around the shock, etc.
If things like this were as gold as they say, they would be in as production.

So given you have made the holes bigger in your side panels, added fins, venturi helpers etc.

In short, its snake oil trying to get $30 separated from your wallet.

And here I was all excited thinking it was some new kind of "powerband" !

Absolutely correct! X a million. If you want more power use your right wrist! Generally speaking, people that think they need more power need to learn how to ride faster. Most riders don't ever come close to using all the power a stock bike has. Most of the time this kind of thing (turbo ring, power-now, etc.) makes the bike have less power i.e. easier to ride. ( I've had the pleasure of dynoing the power-never ) I guess that could be a good thing, but come on advertise what it really is! You'd be better off saving that money for your next valve adjustment, or stock replacement top end.

Disclaimer: I am not referring to pro level (or fast intermediate) riding, where money is involved. Those guys really do benefit from more power, and better bikes than stock.
