Dunge should make up his own mind about Steve and at least do some post race short interviews where he just talks about the race. I understand if he doesnt want to do a long podcast where he might be asked about his personal life or be asked about things he'd rather keep private.
Just my two cents
I asked him a year ago or so what I could do to help our relationship out and he replied that we were all good and that he barely knew me. But then he continues to not be a fan with his actions and words. What can you do? The pits are pretty big and if he and RC are the only two guys who won't talk to me, there are many others that will.
Having said that, I'm a big fan of Dungey's. I guess everyone has their vice.

Yea, you know, I'm pumped on the team, we made some adjustments this week and got off to a good start. Just clicked off the laps hitting my marks. We're going to put our heads down and focus on next week.
while the tiff with Matthes is dumb and him not doing the interviews, I feel like we're not missing much. I like Dunge as a rider but he's one of the worst interviews to read or listen to.
Think about it... Matthes always asked good, in-depth questions that lead to some very good inside information. Now, imagine him and RC doing a career retrospective-esque, 2 hour long podcast.

Btw Matthes, i read "Racerhead" every week, im actually sitting waiting for it. But i only read your section. Okey i give the other writers a quick eye, but your i read every word!
As far as Carmichael goes, I have the utmost respect for him as a racer and as a competitor, but I must say that I am not a big fan of his personality. He still has a huge chip on his shoulder (which is shy he was a great competitor, but most guys can turn it off), which makes him come off as quite the douche at times. Not to mention the favoritism he shows towards Tickle, Dungey and Les Smith, and his hatred of Friese.
And he is always talking about how Stewart is laboring in the turns when he isn't the fastest guy or is being pushed (I guess because James is the guy who kinda dethroned him). Like I said, the dude was awesome on the track and had a work ethic unlike any other, but those days are over and he needs to chill out.
The point? Dungey should be able to make his own decisions and not have Carmichael telling him who to talk to...Kinda childish if you ask me.
I kinda think its a bit silly this thing with RC/RD and avoiding Pulp... Wasn't RC saying his last few years of MX that you can't outrun the media and how it's better to work with them etc, how he learned in Nascar that you've gotta eat up those sponsor opportunities...

It's pretty obvious that neither Carmichael or Dungey need any help from Matthes and if they don't care for him and/or don't care to go on his show, so what.
But every person who listens to Pulp prolly thinks less of RC for either not doing the show, influencing Dunge not to do the show or pulling Kenny...
He's just doing exactly what he says not to do... Are you upset because I said bitch and Carmichael in the same sentence? Sorry, Australian brashness... He's being silly. Is that better?
They are both riders who have always let their results do their talking and neither really seemed to care about any attention other than that.

I think they are both childish for refusing to do the show. However, it is great regardless, so I don't care all that much. To be honest, I don't find the rider interviews all that interesting anyway - it is usually the same old story. I like the bits where Matthes and the co-hosts just chat amongst themselves the most.
On the topic, I think BECAUSE there is a feud, that that is every reason in the world why we need an RC/Matthes/Dungey podcast. Toss in a little Ping and a pinch of JT$, and that's a can't miss show. Do it for the fans!!!!!!
And I think it would be great if Matthes would pick a Vitard a week for his podcast-the more outspoken Vitards...let the Vitards speak their opinion (they can even use their screen name and Matthes could disguise their voice and stuff so its still anonymous-and because its anonymous they'll be more likely to speak their true opinion like they would on the board). I think it would be frikkin' awesome to see them get shot down and walked all over and laughed at by the folks that actually know what they are talking about. Who knows? It might actually change the tune of the message boards...Call it the "Vitard moment" or something...
