Stoners need heros too!

and many of the younger dirt bike riding population, (not racers so much), are of the B&B types,

dirt bikes attract those types, they go to sx races and buy tyres etc. they are a part of this scene so to speak.

Really if everyone was like dunga, as much as i admire him and what he's done, it would be pretty boring.

I spoke with Donnie Hansen at the Carlsbad Reunion yesterday and asked him about Josh. He said J-Law headed back to Florida yesterday and that Josh is done racing. I asked if he was going to do FMX stuff, and he said Josh is "no backflipper", but he has some work lined up doing some riding in films and stunt, plus X-Games stuff. He said Josh wasn't happy racing anymore in the racing scene, probably because of the pressure. He said that he supports his kid in whatever he does, he just wants him to be happy. The same thing that all of us want for our kids. Understandable.

I asked him about the incident with t-boning Ray in that LCQ and he said he didn't see it, but heard about it later and when he asked Josh why he was doing that kind of stuff for last place in the LCQ, Josh just said he was pissed off at the time. He said that Josh had to go apologize to Ray and he told me some other stuff, but I don't remember because we were all drinking and having a great time and we just started talking about more interesting stuff

Nice to hear something other than rumors. I hope the guy finds what he is looking for and this isn't looked back on as a wasted opportunity. This isn't one of those jobs that you can go back and do in your 40's.

You know, the best mentor Hanny ever had perhaps was Mitch Payton. Too bad he couldnt get a 450 ride with Mitch in the last few years.

Would an Ezra Lusk/Tim Ferry/ Jeff Stanton figure have made a difference in Joshs career after his PC ride was done? Would Josh have listened to one of those guys?

Why is Hanny's 2012 bike next to Osborne's , and why does Osborne have black plastics and ARMA on his bike when he is riding for Geiko? I'm confused.
