OK, at the risk of sounding like I ride the short bus, what is a PED?

Also, on the Yamaha to Suzuki comment... I switched from a Yamaha to a Suzuki last season and saw dramatic improvements in my riding abilities...noticeable to everyone around me. Great bike, will make a beginner feel awesome, makes a good rider amazing, IMHO.

Obviously a lot of things right. One thing that stood out to me last night is that he seemed completely unaffected by the pressure of Reed and Barcia. Barcia was getting aggressive, spinning the rear wheel. Davi rode smooth as K-dub out there.

I also wonder if riding the YZF450 made him a better rider. He rode that sucker pretty well last year given all the complaints about the bike (just a thought).

One small thing I noticed is that on his starts his bike seems to be on rails. He launches straight, no wheelies or wobbles, no fighting for traction or anything. His front end sticks in the corners too.

That's what happens when you've got a 220 pound gorilla on top it!!!

I've never had problems with starts, bike won't move much with someone my sitting on the front... Davi is a big kid!

the thing that strikes me about Millsaps is he has amazing skill with a motorcycle. I watched a profile video of him last year and he's got great natural ability. The thing that most impresses me is he's able to have this speed considering he's over 6 feet tall and 190 lbs, not the usual size for a successful MX racer.

I´ve always wondered how you can determine natural ability from watching someone ride...? (not trying to be a douche here)
I think the guys who are deemed to be 'naturals" are fast despite being perceived as lazy during the week.

If you are faster than a natural but not as lazy, then you can't be a natural. You worked hard to be fast.

This is of course a bs way to reason it, but I'm pretty sure the line of thinking exists.

He's probably one of the only riders today that's as smooth as Windham, i mean he looks like he don't try, but yet the kids going faster than a cat trying to cover crap on a marble floor,. I mean the guys just on it and you can't argue with that.

Exceptional rider on an exceptional bike.

The only bike on the track that Davi can't turn under is JS7, also on a Suzuki.

Davi really does need to learn to be more engaging in the interviews however. Now that he is on the spotlight more he really needs to express some personality to have a larger fan base.

Other than being better prepared than he has ever been, having a lot of confidence and not backing down, I would say his starts are helping the cause.
