He is for real. I'm sure a lot of people, myself included, expected him to fall back to "second tier" in Phoenix. If you're like me, you kept expecting the same thing the next race and the next race. I just keep wondering when he will falter, and it's not happening. He is the real deal and is here to stay. He seems to be nailing his starts and making moves happen quickly at the start of the race to get in good position. He has been a little fortunate to avoid both pileups (the only top rider to do so). It's so awesome to see another guy up there battling. He has been so consistent this year and his points standing shows that.

How many other riders have we seen get passed, then pass the guy back. This NEVER happens in SX and Davi is doing it to the top guys. Always been a fan of Davi and always will be. Love seeing some bigger guys rip.

He sounded a bit upset with second last night. If second place is a bad night for you, that's good. Before, not only would he be happy with 2nd, he wouldn't have passed James back and kept the pace with Dungey the rest of the race. He's confident, he's fit, he's got a good bike, and he's finding that he belongs up front. This is the Davi Millsaps we've been waiting to see for the last 9 years. I'm just left speechless.

Man, I never saw this coming, I thought the first few rounds were flukes.. He is all of the sudden Mr. Consistancy.. Good for him. Not really one of my favs, but damn, he is killing it, and on a less than "Factory" bike.. Dude has skill!!!

he was right with dungey til he got together with stewart and their battle slowed them down and let dungy get away.

Millsaps is the MAN this year. Biggest name in the sport at the moment. Points leader. Red plate holder. This is an amazing story and I hope the media gets all over it and stays with it.
If I had a dollar to bet on the series winner I would put it on Davey Millsaps.

He was amazing on that crf 250 too. Better than he ever looked on the rmz 250 in my opinion. It's crazy to think he's only 25. Seems like he's been around forever.

I hope him to win it too! Davi is the most positive surprise of the season so far. Everyone was just speculating how will Villo, Stewart, Dungey, Reed, Barcia and Canard do, but after round 5 it's Millsaps still leading! I bet nobody saw that coming.

Especially was nice to watch him trying and making the pass on Canard during first 2 laps in Anaheim3.

Thumbs up for him, all two I have!

I'm pulling for the dude simply because he proved me soooo wrong. Before the season started I had him as an 8th-13th place guy. To see him shit on my expectations is both humbling and inspiring.

You oughta see how good he is as a "Team Member"...he's involved with the "Lites Riders" on his Team...cheers'em on...kinda fulfills the role of "Sr, Rider" in a very cool and un-assuming way...the dude is amazing.

He's on a Helluva Team.

He's got a Family that's there to support him.

He's got the Desire to see this thru.

His Team has the mindset of "Continuous Improvement" when it comes to his equipment and support.

The Funniest thing about ALL of this: It's got NOTHING to do with a Red-Plate.

Example: Right now? All they're thinking about is San Diego and getting the Logisitics ready to go East.

F-O-C-U-S-E-D and Humble.

It's amazing what getting in REAL shape will do for a talented rider's career... not just physically, but mentally. When you know you are in the baddest Mfer on the line physically you believe that in your riding too...

the very first race when I seen how sunk in his face was I knew he had been working his ass off - RV looked like that last year and RC back in the day. You can say it's the "tweaker look"

I am pumped to see him getting the results and hope he wins the title.

19 points on Dungey, almost a race on RV2. Haha this is one of the best seasons I can remember.
