Was the bike leased from Honda? Why not let short ride the L mc bike? Where is that bike at now? Parked in the Honda shop or in lb's or mc's garage?

I heard, can't remember where, that the K-Dub announcement set a lot of things in motion. I wouldn't bu surprised to to see AS29 under the GEICO tent soon.

Won't happen. Geico made room for Kevin under the circumstances that happened years ago, and that was only because he is "Kevin Windham" . While Short in my mind is a great representative of the sport, there is only one Kevin Windham.

My thought is that he is just there for the weekend until they can work out the details on another ride. I would think that for him to go to say GEICO, there would be a lot of contracts that needed to be ripped up or changed.

You know Gibby didn't mean that as an exact quote of all that was changed... If you wanna be more precise what is visible is it has a wheel set (talon hubs) with oversized front rotor (galfer i believe) FMF exhaust, Hinson clutch, X-trig clamps, ODI bars and Grips, Arc Levers, Enzo suspension (He is running the KYB PSF air fork), Cycra skidplate and front number plate, works connection holeshot device, raptor footpegs.. better?Wink

I wish Honda would just let Andrew ride the factory bike as well.......but what some people seem to forget is.....those bikes cost a lot of money to keep going week in and week out. The cost for upkeep , parts and so forth.....someone has to pay for them. His team did.......but now there is no team. And I don't see Honda "lending" out a factory bike to a now called "privateer".

It completely sucks........but it is what it is for now.

Would be a great grab some other teams to get him on their bike. He would give great exposure - top 7 or 8 guy.
KTM - there are not many orange bikes in the 450's. Could help Dungey down the road too. On a 450.
Suzuki - JS does not look like he will last too long and appears not going to do MX.
RCH Suzuki - Is Hill coming back - the bike is just sitting there. He will do MX as well where Hill is not.
JGR - I bet they have the $$ and he is doing better than their two guys in a bad situation. What could he do with good support.
Two two - He could just take the bike he was riding over there and Two Two has 2 guys in the top 7.

I am sure there are more - it would just be great to see Shorty land on a team.

What do you think they use for parade laps at the moment? Kevin Windham was down to do the entire season for Geico so them letting him continue to use the bike for the season doesnt seem rediculous to me at all. It's not like Geico now has no racers to represent them is it. Even if they just let Kevin use his practice bike that would still only leave the race bike left for Short and one bike isnt enough to race and train throughout the week on.
