what is "fair" ??

IMO, "fair" is what the market will bear. If there is a demand for something, someone, someone with a set of skills they will be paid accordingly. There is no demand for a mid-last place guy in PRO mx.

I think it's entirely fair what everyone earns and if they don't like it..they should quit and get a real job. I don't feel bad for anyone who has the chance to become a professional athlete....I think alot of people take for granted how fucking lucky they are just to OWN a dirtbike, let alone race one professionally.

No, more like big government and tax burden paying every fat cat govt employee and their pensions until the private hard working tax paying citizen works himself to the bone.

Its the large corporations that employ most and they pay barley any taxes (see General Electric) and have a strong lobby to keep things their way. If you dont see this you are in just as much denial as Euro GP promoters.

You think if every minimum wage employee made $3 more an hour BK and Wal-Mart would go out of business? It would cut into profit and investors wouldnt like it and the all so holy stock price might drop.

The unskilled employee sure as shit would have a higher standard of living and maybe could buy that shiny bike.
If unskilled employees made that extra $3 you hope for them, the price of everything goes up, putting them back where they started. My advice to you is to take an economics class and learn how a free market economy works before you quote MSNBC.

If the minimum wage went up 35% like you suggest, you'd pay 10 dollar for a hamburger at BK and 25 dollars for a 18 dollar shirt at Wal-Mart. Its called minimum wage for a reason, if an unskilled employee wants more money he better go get some skills.

In my book there should be no minimum wage, a man gets what he deserves and thats it.

Plenty of countries have minimum wage levels way above the pittance in the US and manage to have prosperous economies, and far less poverty and unemployment.

Misconception here is what is considered poverty level here. Most people in other countries would love to live in the poverty class in the US. What constitutes poverty here is not being able to buy everything you want when you want it.

More like thank the 20million illegal aliens, and their enablers, who have flooded this country, work for peanuts thus driving down wages for all groups, and have decimated the earning potential for all unskilled and semi-skilled workers across the county. Nothing to see here though, move along.

It has always amazed me that we pay people to sit at home (welfare, unemployment etc.) while people who are here illegally do their job. No wonder we are broke.
Easy enough to fix, Instead of paying Joe Shmoe $400 a week to stay home and pretend to look for a job. You pay ABC company $400 for the first week to HIRE Joe full time, then $200 for 3 weeks (cover the training period), and $100 the next 4 weeks if Joe is worth keeping, If not pay back 50% of what's been paid so far. Joe is now working, the employer can take a chance on if Joe is worthwhile, the company can grow and the government and company is now less strained, the economy can rebound and it ended up costing less. But the perception is that you are giving $$$s to companies instead of people and that's not good PR.

And hope there is enough left for you after payroll, payroll taxes, insurance, retirements, franchise taxes, utilities, property taxes, accountant bills, personal property taxes, garage keepers liability, required fees and subscriptions, equipment maintenance.............it never seems to end. And my lowest paid employee makes $11.00 hr, which is occasionally more than myself and the wife get paid. Laughing Ahhhh, the joys of owning your own small business!
Newmnn you failed to mention the amount paid to your attorney for advice to avoid being sued or abused by the franchisor.........

Just thought i'd mention that part too. Ahem......i'll leave now.
