Looks like a scrub gone wrong that caused that.

But damn, that was nearly a 360!

Find it a little annoying that a couple of guys that clearly saw what happened still doubled the triple while a couple of guys done the right thing and rolled it.

Looks like Grant's handlebar hit Windham in the air.

Wow that looked like a painful landing on that left ankle/knee.

Now we need the Hanny LCQ and Barcia's get off at A1 footage

It must sting knowing Barcia won a 450sx.

For Dungey, I'd say he got lucky on that one seeing how he landed.

did Josh Grant start that chain reaction? looks like he clipped the guy on the KX.

But damn, Dungey landing on his feet from that high up, he must be hurting.

I think Dungey's strengthenig and conditioning is higher than the rest. I'm not saying the other guys are out of shape, but I think Ryan just has something different about his program that helps in situations like this. Not many guys can get out of that situation and still finish the race like he did.

I have so much respect for the Dunge and it's things like that where I just drop my jaw. He just keeps his head down and keeps trucking. I was hoping he would be able to make it to 9th to qualify without the LCQ just so we could see another spectacular race by him but it's all good. He got the job done in the LCQ and earned points on the night. Kudos Mr. Dungey.

You aren't required to roll a jump unless the red cross flags are out.

When you say "done the right thing", what are you basing the "right thing" off of? Courtesy?

The Dunge is tough as hell. If that had been bubbs he would have turned that into a 15 min acting job out of a drama and rolled straight back to the rig wincing in pain.

One of the TV guys told me that camera on top of that triple was completely destroyed. More destroyed than a NASCAR wreck. So, that was one hell of a hit RD took there.

I'm surprised nobody is talking about Balbi, the guy who took Dungey out? maybe GP riders with little to no SX experience should be forced to ride the Lites class their first year. Pretty sure Balbi hit the dirt at A1 also

Thinking knee and ankle for Dungey. And isn't it a risk of DQ for stopping on the track?

Balbi has raced AMA supercross in the 250 and 450 class for many years (since 2005). He even won a 450 heat race at Daytona and finished 5th in the main that night. Yeah it was raining but so what.

I do not recall him being a "GP rider" except for possibly racing his home GP in Brazil or the Glen Helen USGP.

From the TV angle and even this angle a little bit, you can see Grant tripled to pass, clipped the guy's handlebar with the KX (who double-singled), causing the bike to "huck-a-buck" right into Dungey.

I wouldn't say it's Grant's fault but rather a freak accident.

Man didn't realize how bad that was till I saw it from that back angle. He's so lucky to even have gone on and finished the night or the season for that matter. If that was stewart people would be saying that crash was his own fault lol

RD must be one tough guy. Thank God he's not injured, that would have killed a normal person.

This sport is so brutal

Yeah that is what I thought for sure. If he didn't tear something in his left knee I imagine he sprained it pretty good. Watch in the slow mo his left leg looked like it bent unnaturally. All i know is that I need to get a pair of those Nike boots, between him and James they seems to protect the legs/ankles in some pretty serious crashes.
