no zippers, composed, nailing his points and really adding something to the broadcast.

everything about tonight broadcast is on point, camera angles, especially the far zoom shots of racing. announcing, trackside announcing. even the nights race schedule is playing out well!

Emig & Ralph had to prod him for insight, but when asked he added a lot to the discussion. One of RC's better announcing nights.

Good broadcast. Clipping the extra hour from last weeks show sure made things run a lot smoother IMO.

now he just needs to get his team on point !

Him and Emig sure do have different views and i find i really disagree with RC and agree with Emig a lot of the time - his comments about 94 for example are getting very old, are pretty shitty and sometimes he comes off as a right dick - GOAT or not, the last time i looked 2nd place to Tomac isn't completely terrible - but hey I suppose compare to how RCH racing is performing it must be lol

As above, the only point I don't agree with RC on is his analysis of Ken Roczen. This is the 2nd week in a row where he's thrown him to the wolves a little. Comments like.. Kenny needs to get it done this year and that he hasn't lived up to expectations, and that Roger won't put up with it etc etc. Basically a bit over the top and not really accurate.

It's only Ken's 2nd "full" season indoors and last year he won a race and was of course runner up in the championship..... in other words - he's doing pretty good. Even Jeff said that Ricky was being too harsh. Other than that, fine.

And he started last year a week after healing from a broken wrist I believe?

He did it with some other riders too, can't remember the names but I was like, wow man give em a break please - even Emig piped up about it. It's good having 3 guys in the booth and 2 of them being ex racers as we get even commentary but he does need to lighten up.

yea RC seems to forget that last year Roczen came in with a broken wrist that bothered him all year. He is flying right now, as is Tomac, you can see with Barcia's speed just how quick the next generation are going.

Seems Baggett has a tougher time in sx than Roczen.

for a rider of kens caliber to finish 10 odd seconds behind in both of the first 2 rounds to tomac really isnt the standard anyone would expect , to me this is the point Rc is trying to get across albeit in his own words

I agree. He needs to be asking himself if his riders are going to get it done.

Given how RC was always his own worst critic and never satisfied with anything less than a win, I'm willing to bet there's a little of that underlying attitude in his perspective on Roczen.

From the outside looking in, I'll bet RC is tough on his team riders too. Maybe he's the new Mitch Payton.

You guys are a bit harsh on RC I think. I agree with his comments on Roczen. The Man expects wins and Roczen expects to win. So by that standard, Roczen is coming up short. RC pointed out that Decoster will grow tired of seeing the KTM on the number two step. This lines up with some of the comments Decoster has made in the past. KRoc is healthy, and riding fast but needs to put it all together at race time. I imagine they'll be practicing starts this week.

I wholly agree with you. With a resume like this, it's easier to understand the point RC is trying to make.

All of those awards, accolades, etc...is why KRoc is expected to and paid to win. RC is spot on, Roczen needs to win or he will not be on that factory KTM team for long. I think RC is just looking out for the kid, wanting him to push a little harder.

If they are trying so hard to bring in viewers from outside the sport they might consider sending RC to a speaking class or two. Emig has talked of his struggles with public speaking and overcoming a stuttering problem, and admits it's something he continues to work on. RC continuously saying 'I seen" this or that brings the intelligence level of the whole team down and makes our group as a whole look a little slow.

making up words is also a no no, the English dictionary has quite enough descriptive options.

If Ken was consistently down in 4th or 5th then I might agree with that. Whether he means it or not that's how RC makes it sound. But the fact is Ken has been a serious contender in every championship he's raced in. He's doing right by KTM.

Of course he wants to win and I as a fan wouldn't want to see him finish 2nd or 3rd forever either. But you have to say fair play to Eli Tomac, he's a damn good rider and extremely tough to beat right now. We're talking about an elite in Supercross, a likely future champion in the premiere (450) division - it's not like Ken's getting beat by some nobody. A 10 second gap isn't desirable but it's a fraction of a second (sometimes a little more or less) every lap to one of the best SX riders in the world.

theres alot of expectations on Ken from decoster , ktm and the fans second place (while very respectable ) isnt it, RC is just calling it as he sees it some people will disagree , personally imo hes spot on

I'm a big KRoc fan, and I think Rc is a little bit off on Kenny, but... he WAS breathing pretty hard after his heat race win. Breathing hard for quite a while, in my opinion. It made me reconsider RC's comments, and wonder about Ken's conditioning.

props to Ralphie for asking James about his knee...more than once since he dodged the question. I still don't get why James is so secret about it, but that's a completely different thread.
I'm totally cool with the broadcast personalities so far.

I think RC was a little hard on Kroc, but coming from a guy who practiced what he preaches, I think it's acceptable. We all know RC was one of the hardest working guys, and never settled for second place. But I wouldn't say Kroc is doing poorly either, Tomac is just on another level right now.

On another note, RC should be a little harder on himself when it comes to that queer eye for the moto guy jacket.

Roczen and KTM are pretty set as a pairing - i don't think they will be releasing him anytime soon bud.

I think this was the best broadcast in a while, kudos to Ralph that had the guts to ask a real question to James, refreshing for me at least, and those including Stewart that feel an urge to give him shit for that in specific, Ralph has really been Stewies "Fastest man on the planet" best supporter.

I also dig that RC voiced some frustration around Ken's "lack of performance", which is something they are supposed to voice in combo with adequate props, only missing is that maybe RC usually don't do it, and the focus on Ken maybe became a bit too obvious? As mentioned Bagget's went totally under the critique "radar".

Either way, I think they stepped up tremendously. Not all people will be satisfied of course, but for me it was a step in the right direction.

Blows me away how the better manufacturer watches can be so busy and ugly. Here's more my style:
