Lap 5 (cont’d): Villopoto skips the whole next section getting back on the track. But he rides for Monster so it’s all good.

Lap 8: You know you are a boss when people are afraid to pass you. Dungey is not making any moves on Barcia, because Justin hasn’t given a fuck since he exited the birth canal.

Dungy's actual thought: If I wait another few laps, this guy will take care of himself.

That's dumb.

If you look at the race, there was nowhere safe for him to enter the track- should he have entered between jumps, risking his life as well as others?

He was in the same scoring position going off the track as he was coming back in.

I can't figure out if the Brotocross dude is a funny guy, or just a Moran- I'm leaning toward the latter. Either way his same shtick every week is getting old...

Actually he re-entered at the safest point, so yes it was all good. You want him re-entering the track in the middle of a rhythm section or in the middle of a triple knocking tuffblocks out into the middle of the track? He didn't gain a position, and the tuffblocks lined the section he was riding outside of, I don't see a problem. Nice cast by the way Wink

I agree with this completely. I felt Dungey was afraid of being cleaned out by Barcia so he was hoping he would make a mistake. He said himself that he was getting tired of playing cat and mouse with Barcia. But he did nothing about it. I like Dungey, but I think he would have more or less sat in 4th rather than risk getting cleaned out. Not saying Barcia would have, but that is what I think was running through Dungey's mind.

My timing may be off as far as laps goes but once Dungy pulled back up to Barcia after falling over or as he put it knifing the front end in a turn, Barcia threw it away letting Dungy bye. The net result was Dungy 3rd and Barcia 7th. Too bad that we didn't see this going on with the super coverage this weekend...heavy sarcasm.

It would have been dumb to risk an injury at the first race. He said in the intervieuw that the track was sketchy, he crashed because he started pushing harder and that made him sit back and watch Barcia instead of fighting him. To Dungey's luck Barcia skipped beat to and RD was able to podium afterall.

Looking at the helmet cam of Sapps, he pushed on sections he was able todo it safely. Dude rode one hell of a good race.

To compare Millsaps and RD: RD had nothing to gain but points, so his 4th spot was good enough. Millsaps had everything to gain. He put himself on the map again, by winning the opener and shocking the whole industry.

I really can't see the point. RV took the first normal entry point without doing a backflip to re-enter the track. The only reason this is being discussed time and time again, is because it's RV.

I remember in 2011, when Blake Baggett (outdoors) started to show some real colours, he crashed at High Point (I think it's the one where his visor turned), he cut nearly half a track (without any reason) and nobody said anything ...

If you compare RV2 and BB case, then I think it's pretty obvious RV didn't do anything wrong

When doesn't Brotocross hit a home run? That's my only question of complaint here?

The issue with RV wasn't strictly where he came back on the track, but also the haste in which he made to get there.

Anyone that wants to discuss it more should go to the other thread about it:

If you go off the track and miss a whole section, even if you don't pass anyone, does that seem fair?

Note to Alessi.....have a bobble just before the whoop section......cut the whole section.....enter at the end of the whoop section....careful not to pass anyone, just hold your posistion...bam, I just solved Mikes whoop problem...
