I know we say that every year but seriously there are 8 different guys that could win in my opinion. I think it's always been only 3 or 4. What ya think?

Yes .

1982 -87 had the deepest depth of talent ever. There is a picture from a race in 82 that had 9 different winners going through the first turn

Close, I agree with the early to mid 80's comment. Deepest in a looooooong time though.

One more sleep!!

YES!!!

If you were going to make the top ten at A1 you would most likely have to bump out one of these guys:
Villipoto
Dungey
Stewart
Barcia
Reed
Millsaps
Short
Weimer
Windham
Canard

You could just as easily add these guys to that list too
Grant, Tickle, Alessi & Brayton.

The 450 class is as stacked as cheap Vegas hooker this year...

Lites were so stacked last year, its great to see the open class stacked. Hope they all make it to the outdoors. Maybe there should be a big break between SX and Outdoor if this is the field we get after the off season.

The top 10 in 85. The first seven riders all had natioanl titles. 5 of them had supercross titles, pretty good line up I'd say

1 Jeff Ward Mission Viejo, CA 229
2 Broc Glover El Cajon, CA 227
3 Ron Lechien El Cajon, CA 223
4 Rick Johnson El Cajon, CA 211
5 Johnny O'Mara Van Nuys, CA 207
6 Mark Barnett Bridgeview, IL 163
7 David Bailey Sugar Tree, VA 159
8 Keith Bowen Pontiac, MI 156
9 Scott Burnworth Jamul, CA 149
10 Goat Breker

Your title claims are bit deceptive. At the start of the 1985 season only O'Mara, Barnett and Bailey had actually won SX titles. Lechien won his MX title in 1985, likewise with Ward for his first SX title. You are counting titles not yet won by a few riders.

At the beginning of each respective season, I make the comparison between the two as (if you include Hannah as someone else mentioned):

1985 2013

# SX title winners 4 4
# SX titles 6 7

# Outdoor title winners 7 5
# Outdoor titles 16 12

# race winners ? 10

If you consider that up to 1993 there were three classes in the outdoors, I'd say it's pretty much a wash between the two years (statistically).

Imagine if everyone stays healthy to the Dallas/Arlington round and we get Roczen on the gate on a 350.

I am so pumped about tonights race, this is going to be one for the ages. I am pulling for Stewart this year, plus I would like to see Barcia do well in his rookie season. So many storylines, so many fast racers = Fans winning!!
