Although not a Champion, Australian Jeff Leisk performed very well during his short 2 years in 500's,
Runner up in his second year, racing against all the great GP champions in 1989.

Yeah, it was amazing he could even keep Bailey in sight with that tank!! I raced a YZ490 in '86 against the L/C Honda's and Kawi's.....it wasn't fun.

Considering what Howerton did to the works Honda's on a stock fucking 360cc Husqvarna.....maybe he was the best ever.
