I've got an 80/20 up to 100g with $2000 deductible for $130mo. I think it's a reasonable deal but I gotta tell ya, if it increases to the point that the fine is cheaper than the premium I'm gonna raise hell.

My employer sponsored plan actually went down a bit this year. Shocked the crap out of me, of course.....

I haven't investigated whether the premium went down or my employer is paying a larger share, though.

I pay a bit over $500/mo. for just myself with a $5,000 deductible. Just got notice yesterday that in Feb. it is going up to $707/mo.

I'm sure mine will increase. Once they figure out that you have to buy it what's gonna stop them from going crazy with the rates?

My current cost is $538 per month. For 2013 mine was going over $800 per month and I am healthy and in good shape. Called the insurance company - asked them to explain. There was some gibberish in the mailing that was confusing. The bottom line was .... The rate increase had to do with prescriptions so they said. If I was to pay for my own prescriptions then my monthly rate would remain the same. So now I pay for any prescriptions I need.

What got my rate to over $500 was a bout with GERT. Soon after that I was dropped from the low rate insurance and put into the risk poolSad

I soon discovered that it was not GERT ...what ailing me was primarily caused by drinking too much scotch. The scotch irritated the throat and caused the throat to constrict. I quit drinking and soon after the irritation was gone and all the complications ended…...damn I just a social drinker.

Never the less the insurance company had be where they wanted me…paying higher rates and I rather doubt that will ever change.

Insurance is nothing more than legal extortion. Yes one needs it but not at the rates being forced on us!!

When I shattered my wrist in May of this year while at the Marysville CA round of the Old Timers Event.......while chasing my dog - I tripped and landed on my wrist. LOL

I was told by the insurance company that had I been racing my coverage would have been denied.

It is only going get more restrictive regarding coverage for our sportSad

I've only been on this insurance since this past February, and they literally have not shelled out one cent on me since I haven't reached my deductible, yet I still get the rate increase. I should start receiving Medicare around March since I'll have been on disability 2 years by then,soIshould be able to dropthe insurane completely. Between my premiums and out of pocket doctor visits, I'll be saving over $1,000/mo. once I get the Medicare.

When I left my last employer in October I was paying around $1300 a month for a family of 4 thru BCBS. Since we have moved now to the DR we are paying $1800 for a year for the family. The US health care system is seriously f'ed man. Holy shit it's insane how much we are supposed to pay just in case we get sick or have an accident.

Every time Obama opens his mouth, he lies.

My insurance went down a little bit.

My previous employer had an awesome plan, $5000 deductible and a $0 per month fee for a family of two, but every single cent was paid for after that.

If I got hurt and had a $200,000 medical bill, I would pay a max of $5000.

If I had no medical bills, I paid zero dollars in insurance.

The job I had before that was self insured, as they owned a health insurance company, I paid $5 per month at that job.
