Always wondered how Kenny got started in the sport? Im sure I read once that he was a promising Baseball player who didn't quite make it, is that correct?
Yes he was a good high-school player and had some colleges looking if I remember right bit got caught up in the wrong stuff.

He started mechanicing for his buddy Jason at his shop TRE in Simi Valley where he met Kyle Lewis who had him work on his bikes for a while.

When my buddy first told me about the show, I couldn't stand Kenny constantly rubbing the mic and yelling. He seemed to really see how big of fans people were of the show this year and really upped his game. Great stories, different perspective. He seemed to try and protect his friends and yell at Steve about it too much.

Having a baby changes your priorities in an instant.

For those saying Tits adds a lot to the show......uhhhhh I guess you have your opinion.

Probably be tough to find somebody to be in-studio every show.

I say go with the revolving co-host of,... Ping, Thomas, Berlutti and Wey.

And when those guys cant be there, fly in Langston, DV or Preston.

Thanks.

Can't say I was a fan of his when I began listening to the show a few years ago, but he grew on me eventually. Not sure where I'll go for Cooler customisation tips now though. Sad

They way he would act like he hated being there got old, but maybe that was a sign that he really liked being there. He's definitely an asset and told pretty good stories. I would've like to see him on the show once a month.

That said i have no problem believing that he really cares about people and does a lot of cool stuff that isn't heard. I wish him the best with the new dad role, the team and whatever else is on the horizon.

Yeah, I buy the thing about his Kid, family comes first...

But seeing the only other thing to change at that team that matters is RC coming on board and given their history, if RC said the show or the team, they're probably losing fans. Hasn't Pulp been on the top few podcasts in sports or some such shit?! Like Matthes or not, Pulpmx is fucken popular with the fans!

I'm a superfan of Pulp MX. I've called into Pulp several times harassing Kenny about an old story from Unadilla back in the day. I just like to bust his balls about it cause he gets all fired up everytime I call to ask him about it. I'm a big fan of Watson's though. He is a crucial part of the shows entertainment factor and gives an honest view on the sport and what really goes on behind the scenes. He tells it like it is and dones'nt hold back for anyone, and nobody else in this industry really does that. Kenny will be missed!

Ok
How many of u didnt think much of KW b4 he did the show. I also think that RCH will lose an edge in marketing by not having there inner workings told to the fans via Pulpmx. RCH (H&H) got huge amounts of press through this show Remember KW said over and over that they need to engage with the fans

it was cool having Kenny on there, but occasionally all the bickering got a little tiresome. The cool thing about Kenny is he wasn't afraid to unleash on people, even well known industry people. He would simply hammer J-Bone and it was funny.

Nothing wrong with a little change though. And I bet we haven't heard the last from Kenny on Pulp.

Matthes, move to SoCal so u can have a different rider/industry guy in studio every week. Shit, ping could be there almost every week and he's on par with Kenny for what he brings to the show.

This is what I wanted to say too..... I started listening religiously the day Watson came on and never missed a show. He was the perfect opposite of Matthes and the combo worked great. His stories kept me glued and the quibs or slip ups were great, hopefully Pulp can still use his sound drops. At least I still have them on the app, the show will be different and I'm bummed he's gone, still I can't understand for the life of me why RCH wouldn't want the extra press. I'll bet that show reaches as many if not more than the team can on their own and they got it for free. I look forward to the new pulp but miss the old one amd hope we get him on for guest spots soon....dude is priceless.

Yeah Tits makes the show, way more than Kenny does, right...

Tits and Matthes' banter reminds me of Stern and Baba booey, it's hilarious.

The show needs something/someone fresh anyways.

I have no idea why but if RC said the team or the show good for him. The guy dominated the sport more than anyone before or after and he was far from the most gifted rider. He knows what it takes, and if he thinks it takes that I'd trust his judgement. What they lose from the publicity they can make up 100 fold if they become a championship team. Give Preston the mic and the show will be just fine.

Watson isn't the one riding the bike, the area where RC "knows what it takes."

If anything, Watson knows a lot more about managing a team than Carmichael. Maybe RC should have trusted HIM, if Kenny did in fact feel the show was beneficial in some way and didn't hinder his duties.

If Watson and Hart have proven anything, it's the fact that a race team can offer value to its supporters in ways other than race results. This may not be the case, but I have a feeling that Hart and Ricky underestimate the amount of goodwill that Watson's media persona brought to the team.

First off, Kenny isn't the "star team manager employee" you think he is. Believe me. Second, you have to look at this as a business, a brand and an operation with integrity (ideally). Is a guy with his pants below his ass, no sleeves, ill-manners and a foul mouth someone you want to represent your brand? (Suzuki, not H&H of last year).

Maybe before, but not now with RC and even more-so, Suzuki brass, looking upon your operational and marketing strategy. You're putting way too much credit toward KW. Yeah yeah he knows quite a few people, but you would too if you worked in the industry for that long. I know more than a few vendors that have dealt with him (in detail and many times I was right there). Rarely was it a positive experience to say the least.

They're not underestimating anything.

This whole thing is not a big deal at all - not sure why it's such a big subject matter.

Watson added lots of knowledge and humor to the show. I think his inside info from the industry was great even hinting at stuff. This may be part of why he left, gonna miss him. My favorite is him telling the Tedesco camper story, never laughed so hard listening to my headphones. I have become a huge fan of the H&H team as a result of him being on the show. Thanx K-dub.

Some of the best shows is when KW and JT$ talk about the old days.. especially the frank/ burger king story

would be interesting to see if steve has a solid replacement or just rotate guys in studio like ping, burlutti..
hope the show can keep growing
