The pro riders are as dumb and gullible as everyone else, by believing that 4-stroke technology is so advanced over 2-stroke technology, believing that 2-strokes would be a step back and can't be considered as serious motocross machinery. To RV they should be stored somewhere to collect dust. It sounds like he didn't even really want it, but his mechanic got it and built it up for him.

I remember listening or reading about that bike, that the kaw guys basically put that bike together from left over parts they had laying around (yes, Stewart was the last to ride the kaw 2-strokes) same way they done for AC few months back for his 125, but said they was all but outta parts for those things, that's why AC went right to racing the 250f.

Stewart said it was a pile
Because Kawi gave it to him and said "Go beat RC on this. Our 450 isn't ready yet."

Here is the bike in question, just in case anyone forgot how to drool on your keyboard. Just think of the noise that thing makes! ...

I'll bet it sounds just like a two-stroke.

I like how everyone keeps saying "James's old practice bike". That bike is better than brand new. I'm sure it's collecting dust somewhere, but it is obviously not an old clapped out practice bike, up for sale somewhere with JS's name in the ad to try and sell the delapidated turd dog.
Thats cus its james old practice bike.

So the bike used to be Bubba's??? So that number 2 bike just might sound just like this.

He looked really ragged (on the edge ragged, not squirrel ragged) at the actual races, but that probably tends to happen when you try to ride a really hopped up 250 smoker against RC when RC's on a 450.

Kidding on the "F off" part, but serious that I agree that he's hard to root for; and the fact that he hasn't gone out of his way to make the forum junkies happy by riding that beaut in a video is nothing short of a travesty.

It isn't, but it is part of some people's reasons for rooting for or against a guy. He seems unhappy with his job at times too.

I guess some of this is the same reason I was mystified that a good percentage of U.S. fans didn't seem to appreciate JMB when he was racing here. What they do on the track is amazing, and that's pretty much the part that matters to me.

I can say, after reading some of the comments in here, I'd be amazed that any rider would want to do anything to "make the forum junkies happy." But keep dreaming the impossible dream.
