Dear Ryan,

Some of us can't seem to get over the fact that you, sometimes, have a Bad Day and get pissed off. You need to be "Perfect" like the rest of us and NEVER fuck-up.

Ever.

So, we'll wait for you to live up to our expectations and continue to talk shit about you like a bunch of Grumpy Old Ladies.

Good luck!

A friend of mine did the same thing at a practice session a couple years back..He wasn't about to go home halfway through the day, so he had his arm wrapped, rode on and went to get stitches the next day.

I took a break lever from another bike into my left hand and punctured it all the way into my palm while racing Cahuilla for a VetX race, then wrapped it up and duct tape it and went out and Holeshot and won moto 2 completely blood soaked.. haha. I was in the beginner class back then so dont call me a hero just yet...Woohoo So stoked that the camera man was around the corner and caught the holeshot! That pic hangs on my wall to this day favorite one ever!!

In soccer, they call it the "red mist" That's when somebody goes ballistic after some incident which in retrospect they would be the first one to admit didn't need that kind of reaction.
Once you get the red mist, you are ready to murder somebody, even if that means you get ejected and cause your team to lose.
Doesn't mean they aren't nice people off of the field. Some people just have a harder time controlling their emotions in a competitive situation (or behind the wheel of a car...)

I don't get it? I have talked with on the phone several times and trained with him and never received anything but respect from him and I'm nobody special. He's always been super down to earth and I never felt like he was looking down his nose at me even when giving pointers on specific riding tech. I don't know, maybe it's how people come off to him is what they get back. Hell my first training session with him I made 5 laps and blew out my rear tube didn't think to bring a spare and he was like "hold on a minute I'll get you a loner bike". I declined the offer simply because I like MY bike. Anyways never had anything but good experiences.......
I understand that. I am just saying, from my experience with him this summer, I wasn't impressed. I may have taken him the wrong way, or he was just having a bad weekend. I was just saying, I wasn't that fond of his attitude. He had a school the week before the race, and some of my friends paid a bunch of money to have him teach their kids. From my understanding, the kids didn't like him much either (10-12 year old 80 riders). To each his own, I guess.

I did the same thing in the desert.. Rode 30 miles out, before even looking at it. Went to an urgent care place to have it cleaned and sewn up. It was so packed with dirt it barely bled. This crash happened on day one of five. I had friends down from Alaska and I basically had no choice to sack up and ride the next 4 days with 8 stitches.. Damn it hurt in the mornings.

A Vets Unite race at the legendary Shady Grove in Dallas. Happened early on. I just cut the finger off the glove and wrapped it with electrical tape. Couple more hours of riding and then off to get fixed.

I did the exact same thing, only considerably worse, about a month ago. If I knew how to post a pic here I would show it. Hard crash in the whoops. Ended up with a 1.7 cm puncture in my forearm, that was infected by the next morning. Spend 4 days in the hospital as a result.

Thats cool, I wasn't trying to be a dick so don't take that way. I was honest with the " I don't get it " I will say that if you are doing something wrong he WILL tell you, maybe people just take it wrong? Who knows.....
