Jeff Alessi on a "Factory" Honda? I guess they are really scrapping the bottom of the barrel. And people say him and his dad and brother have had a falling out!! What a joke. Nick Wey is twice the rider Jeff is or ever will be, but I never remember Honda letting him in the rig. Even when he was smoking they're guys on a weekly basis on a MDK Honda. I would rather see Honda alternate every weekend and give true privateers a chance to ride. Guys that we know will never have a factory ride. It would give Honda better publicity.

Agree to a point. Remember, there is a big difference between a rider under contract with a given team versus a rider renting his ride every week. Basically, both these guys are going at it true privateer style, Albertson more so. Funny to think, both riders have the same initials, "JA" and both got picked up by Honda while riding Red.

One thing you have to remember the Alessi's were not involved with the Team Honda pro squad rather the Sportsman group so there isn't anyone there they dealed with. Even so if you remember back in the day Weinert went from Team to Team almost yearly and didn't have a problem with the teams.

Since he has been on a KTM, he as struggled. When he was on MDK Honda he did not struggle.

Yesterday in Racerhead a rumore was mentioned that Jimmy Albertson and Jeff Alessi might both be on factory Honda's this weekend, but when we showed up at the track, there were no new factory Hondas under the tent. We asked Albertson about it, and he said the tryout is ongoing and that he and Alessi are both in the running for one spot, and that it's for the last three Nationals of the season starting at Millville. We'll keep you informed as we learn more.

Believe it or not Jeff is a better rider than mike{sorry bobbym}but it's true.If he can stay healthy and has good equipment he will start putting in the rides he's capable of.He will be a contender not with stewy but don't be surprised if he hit's a podium soon.Weys best years are behind him jeffs are on the horizon.

Neither guy is under the tent this weekend. Honda will make a decision next week, and with the a couple weeks off, they will have time to get gear approved, test on the bikes, and get ready for Millville.

Tedesco should be back for Millville, and possibly also Millsaps.

If it turns out to be just for the last three races, and both are going for top privateer at the time, ya think they would both turn down the factory ride? I really don't even know where either are in season points, or if there is even a chance either has a shot at top privateer?

Fact .... Jeff Alessi is not faster than Mike Alessi. If he was faster, as much as they both have raced against each other, Jeff would have some wins. People keep saying it, and then they start to believe it. Give it up!!!!

IMO the class of riders Mike Alessi had to race at LL's every year had a lot more talent than Jeff's class. Mike has what, 11 LL titles? I think I remember Jeff racing Josh Hill, but I don't think Jeffs class was near as good as Mikes. I am not saying Jeff isn't OR is faster than Mike, but it is hard for me to believe that. I have never seen anything close to evidence to support a statement like that.

Jimmy has the ride! Jeff will recieve (to be worked out at a later time)HRC don,t want Tony in there pits freaken out over tires and grips.Jeff needs to get a new color or he will struggle in sx as well.SWIM OR SINK your on your own.Now drop those gear sponsers and get a ride.(JIMMY,S bike was pushed out of the big rig and taken to him)

After all Jeff's injuries, he's not faster than Mike, he's fast, but probably not as fast as he was or could've been.
Biggest difference between the two seems to be focus. Mike can maintain better focus and concentration longer, therefore making less mistakes.
