If i remember correctly, motodrive really picked up momentum when Fresh Dirt had some sort of meltdown, there were so many meltdowns over there, i just cant recall them all. i think the Georgia Bureau of Investigation is still investigating it.

we needed an alternate to mototalk because it turned country club and there were so many rules and regulations, and motodrive was more casual. then mototalk went "pay to play" and that was that ........

It sounds like Motodrive was like Mardi Gras or a trip to the river for spring break?

And it sounds like I joined the party a little too late. Missed all the good stuff.

I remember we had a famous member that banged hot chicks all day long , hung out and tanned with professional wrestlers.....and he did all that with a baby arm. Used to be a 1/2 way decent guy until he tried to sue a track......like 10 different times. Things went downhill along with the green parrot.

Actually it started over at mxworld.net, and then everybody moved to freshdirt. Tarbash darbash, rc16, marcad, joe788, myself, eidave, wormy, unamused (who was I believe rc16), 2 trick rick etc all posted there regularly. MikeeP had a meltdown over something and started threatening to send the GBI after them. Back then we had the daily AOL chat room conversations (causing me not to get shit done at work) with most of the regulars from motodrive and fresh dirt. I remember RC16 getting hurt and I think mikeep trying to sell his bike while he was still in the hospital or something to that effect.. Man those were the good ole days.

Very cool to hear Brad McDonald and Mark Losey are involved.

I practically grew up reading nothing but their bmx publications.

The early RIDE BMX issues are still to this day some of the greatest bmx magazines produced (imo).

Brad = 25min 25sec. This is the first time I've seen this video since some dude wahoo'd it from me back around '98.

The OG's all came from Fresh Dirt and Motonews when it was Motodrive.

You missed the moto-board revolution several years ago. There's a lot of blood and zombie corpses still out there with revenge on their mind, but GuyB is just too nice of a General so they lay off him.

He did many things right, but most of all he never played Hitler with his website in its infancy. I have no idea how big this site is as I'm never here much anymore, but it's all due to GuyB and his class in handling issues.

I could list ten people you could find through Google and get an idea of the BS that used to flow through this place.

**Opps...see a lot of comments on these points. Oh well....is what it is.

TFS is the Napoleon of moto-boards. MikeeeP is the Mahmoud Ahmadinejad. And the dude, forget his name, who ran Motonews might go down as the biggest idiot ever for thinking he could privative his site and PEOPLE would actually pay for access. That might be the dumbest move ever.

I can tell ya first hand....back in like 2000-2001??.......or around there when I ran into Scottie and RC16 on the "Zone" racing MCM2.....they introduced me to freshdirt. I checked the place out , signed up and never said a word I think. It was kind of cool there.....but Christ all mighty....some dudes used to really get into it. I was a little less "out spoken" back then.....and didn't really feel like getting hammered online.

Scottie.....I know Yamaboy made an appearance here about a year or two ago.....wonder why he stopped posting all together? I didn't care to much for what he said most of the time.....but his mocked up photoshopped skills were genius. Seriously had tears running down my face looking at some of those pics.
