Langston, Langston, Langsto was actually 11 years ago, but yes, Reed, Reed, Reed was 10 years ago. To be honest I haven't felt the need to do that since. Those two were and are special riders.

We have sent over some great GP riders since, McFarlane, Pourcel, Rattray, Musquin and Roczen, and only Roczen in my eyes is close to those two.

On pure riding talent and determination my two all time favorite GP/AMA riders. Great time in the sport too.

On pure riding talent and determination my two all time favorite GP/AMA riders. Great time in the sport too.

I know mate, never said any different. Funny story when I first met him it was at the Spanish GP, and he had his straight up, no BS style of talking. I remember thinking, this guys a wanker. He hardly qualified for the GP because he had injured his hand, but I was like, sure mate, talk all you want, you nearly didn't qualify. By season end he was second in the World and a GP winner.

He has always been special I guess.

If Herlings somehow doesn't win the MXoN I will truly be shocked. From what I saw of the kid at the Dutch GP last year he was already on a different level, and that was a year and a half ago!

I remember telling people Reed will win titles and race with RC and people saying I was a clown/fool/tool/wanker/on drugs and a bunch of other stuff. The 11 yr old Spanish kid Jorge Prada who already has a multi year factory contract with KTM will be the next "ken Roczen" when he hits the adult Gp's in 5 years time. He's already beating 14 yr olds racing the European 85cc championship.

Very true, Geoff, along with RC, Reed and Langston may have been the strongest willed competitors in the US over the last ten years.

Townley was close, but he missed something obviously, and unfortunately had some terrible bad luck.

Yea in theory. But I think the pressure and racing Cairoli and Dungey straight after his first race will be tough on him, plus I think Cairoli realllyy wants to beat Herlings, there. You can't ever count Dungey out, he is smart, he is determned and he will not want Cairoli and Herlings beating him. When you add Barcia in... it could be epic!

He looked so small on that bike... but man he can scrub! didn't realise he was that young compared to the rest. He is pretty much on Hsu and Pootjes speed already!

Yep think Townley was just bad luck / injuries, he is still that determined, still would not surprise me if he came back and won another championship in the states.

He only raced one round in Aus this year but he was light years ahead of anyone, Anderson, Coppins and Mackenzie did see which way he went.

Coppins is also one of the most determined riders I have ever met, also suffered from some sort of Kiwi curse, was good to see him finish with a title in Aus this year.
