A friend of mine owns one of those, and it's been a great bike for him. Everyone that's ridden it, likes it.

Nothing Wrong with the 125 at all!. Competitive with ktm and Yamaha straight out of the crate and great to maintain. If it had no space under the tank would owners not all moan it was awkward to work on? The balance/handling is top notch and we love ours (just swopped from Suzuki). Seems the most vocal people have never ridden one or owned one but are entitled of course to their opinion however meaningless?. See how opinions are changing on Ktm in the states now they are winning? Husqvarna's motocross effort is I agree painfully poor and Its a pity they dont/can't push this more?. Consistant top 10 at GP level is hardly what you would call slow or no power though?, they are getting closer.

I love mine, wouldn't trade it straight up for a brand new anything else. The new TM 144 with electronic powervalve interests me but I have mine so dialed in I wouldn't want to start over again with something as quirky as a TM.

I rode my Husky 144 yesterday at the Washougal dream race and it was more than competitive with the other 125's. The only reason it wasn't on the top step was purely the fact that I suck! I also own a WR300 that has been absolutely stellar and bulletproof for 130+ hrs.

I am totally sold on the Husky smokers. And I could care less about their 4 stroke efforts or any manufacturer's 4 stroke efforts cause I'm not buying them. I also own a YZ285, which has been an awesome bike in its own right, but owning the Husky's has been an absolute breeze. My dealer stocks everything, parts are cheaper and they're bulletproof. I haven't even seen the internals of either motor except for top end jobs. I know YZ and YZF internals like the back of my hand.....

I could give 2 shits if they ever support a factory effort as I'm not a factory rider and I understand what happens at the factory level has zero to do with my trail riding/moto-squid ass. Sounds like some of your moms got banged by the Husky CEO and he didn't call her the next day!

Oh... my leftover CR125 was $3695 OTD last year. My WR300 was $5500 in 2009. Not only has the 125 been my favorite bike ever, but I got it for a song and a dance. Keep the Husky hate train alive so I can keep buying cheap bikes!

I have been riding and racing a 2012 Husqvarna TC250 since this spring. I am a first time husky owner and the main reason I made the switch to the bike was to try to claim the massive amount of contingency they offer. I mainly race offroad, in the AA class. So far this year I have won multiple overall races and already a D23 Overall state championship. I was nervous getting the bike from hearing concerns about power from magazine reviews, and with my first rides on the bike, those reports felt accurate. BUT, I believe what those reviews didn't anticipate is the bike slowly breaks in. At about 20 hours the TC came alive. I feel the power is now on par with many of the other 250 four strokes. The handling and reliability of the bike have been absolutely great. There are a few small quirks with the bike, but overall I have had a great experience with Husqvarna.

Husqvarna has had great results around the World racing offroad, there are countless examples in nearly every major series. Although I have only raced motocross a couple times on the bike, I believe this bike has a lot of potential and in the coming years Husqvarna will break into the motocross market as it has with offroad.

So, I was talking to this guy, today. He's won some races over the years & he's raced, riden & developed some bikes, too.

We got to talking about the European brands & some of the newer bikes that we've been surprised by: He was very impressed w/ Husky's TCX310: both the engine & chassis. After putting some hours on it & dialing in the suspension...he says that it's a very solid off-road bike. He, also, noted that it gave him NO problems & was even pretty damn good at more aggressive/MX style riding.

His name?

Danny LaPorte.

I'm thinking that's a pretty damn good Endorsement.

I'm jus' sayin'...

Anybody know why the only offer a 250 2smoke in the WR version now? Was that just changed? I could swear you could by a full on motocross version last year.

i hear the 310 is the only good model they makeWink i kid
But they need to work on the motors according to Leib or something i read awhile ago saying the motors were just not giving the 2 riders the jump off the gate and up the stretch apparently struggling to get top 20 starts in the GPS

The WR 250 engine is the same as the CR engine. The only difference is the ignition and a heavier fly wheel. Doesn't take much to turn the WR's into full blown MX machines.

wasn't there a couple of riders from Iowa that showed up to a national a couple years back with Huskys and they didnt get to race? Anyone know who they are and if they will be behind this movement?

It looks that way. Change the flywheel,gastank,rear wheel and tire,and swap the ignition over. I'd try one out somewhere if they were offering demo rides.

I like the look of the Husky bikes. they are def different than everyone else. I'd love to have a new CR125! For the price of them i don't think you could go wrong.

I think they would look much better thought with larger side number plates. One's that actually go far enough down to hide the silencer. They need to come with black excels and a deep dark cherry red frame. I think that would look very nice.
