Considering he just got off of the SuperMini, I think he should do a full season in the amateurs on the 250f. He should ride the A class at Loretta's in 2013 and then ride the last four rounds if he wants to. If not, we'll see him in 2014 SX.

I want to see him as soon as possible just like everyone else does, but he really has been groomed for MX greatness and SHOULD be the next huge thing so I don't see any reason why they would rush his entry to the big boys class right now.

Careers are going much longer than they used to and there is no reason to prematurely enter him into the very brutal 250f nats and SX's, unless he really shows the speed and aggressiveness to compete for 30+2 on those ridiculous tracks.

The next big thing needs to get out there and show he's the next big thing. I've been waiting 8 years for this dammit!
You'll see Cooper Webb go the same route next year...a summer full of outdoors, and then into Supercross.

Feeding rookies to the Supercross wolves the first season is a rough way to get started. I think it makes a lot of sense to get in for the outdoors, get used to the level of competition, how hard it is, get mentally and physically stronger, and then make the jump up.

I'm sure he'll be good given enough time. You can never guarantee that someone will become an all-time great because of amateur success, but Adam seems level-headed and I'm sure Payton will get the best from him.

Even if his pro career is a total wash, he's already made a great living at a young age and raked in a ton of cash from this sport. That's a success in almost anyone's book.

I really hope he doing real good or some of you guys will go crazy and hate him the rest of his life. He's a young talented guy that get hyped by media and places like this. Give him some space? He may never be as fast as top 5 in USA? He still has a loong way to go.

The kid is still small, and I don't see any sense in rushing things. Barring catastrophe I don't see how Adam can be anything but successful; a level head, mature for his age, and speed in spades. I'd say he has nothing to lose by doing a full year on the big bikes in the Ams and riding with the current crop of Pro Circuit boys when he can.

Why not come in 100% prepared if you have the option to?

I think that is the best way. Tomac did it like that. Probably a bit less risky.

Personality wise, he seems like the most engaging rider to come along since Pastrana. Even if he's not dominant, it would seem like he's going to be a huge asset to sponsors.

So you guys think he'll go pro (or even A) soon? I don't see it happening...

My guess is 2013 Schoolboy classes, then 2014 250B stock & mod. Then be a “B rider plucked right out of the amateur ranks into Pro!” for the last nationals of the 2014 season at the earliest.

and I'm pretty sure Adam has said on Pulp or somewhere that he makes pretty good bank, so yea I would say he's raked in some pretty good money at this so far.

It is not so much how old he is, more so it is how ready his body is. He may be 16 next month, but listen to him talk. His voice is still really high. He hasn't reached puberty yet. When he does his voice will get deeper and he will shoot up a few inches.
He is just a late bloomer.

You took the face the wrong way. Yeah, when considering RC and Stewart, Herlings and Roczen are the first comparable riders that come to mind. The lunacy here.

Who knows how AC will do. Let the kids develop their carreers before putting them in the class with folks like RC, Stewart, or Everts if that pleases you better.

I think alot of you are forgetting that mitch signed him for 5 years...mitch doesn't 'gamble' and he knows talent when he sees it.

There is no point in rushing him to go pro at 16...he has a long career ahead of him. No point in pile driving him into the ground like so many before him, going pro and all.
