i shared this vid on facebook earlier today. one my buddies said 1 of these riders is in hospital w/ bleeding on the brain or something similar. if anyone has details on riders name/condition updates it would be great. feel for these guys, that was one serious get off. If i was to guess, the 3rd guy to hit the deck is the one with head injury...his was a slam.

Crashes on that jump at the Peoria TT are fairly common, but that is the worst I've seen.

Good to hear those guys will be alright.

When you see something like this unfold......you can only sit back and wonder why we all race / ride these dirt scooters. You have to LOVE the whole "motorcycle sport" aspect and just know in the back of your mind....something like this can happen. What's the saying?......." I think were touched a little in the head ".

The #20 bike in 6th place is Jacob Lehman, a super good friend of ours. He said the carnage is still haunting him and he cant figure out how he avoided it all. BTW he took 1st place the week before at Castle Rock. First ever Grand National win. He also won the short track last Friday in Peoria on a borrowed KX 450. Good kid, holds a full time job at Boeing as well.

That's the worst one Ive seen since we raced Rotaxes there. You want a rough landing, Jump a hundred feet on a 600 rotax. woo hoo! They have changed the track surface in the last few years, it use to be a groove track now it is more of a cushion so it is a lot more tricky than it use to be.

OUCH!!!!! and those flat tracks have no give when you slam into it. its like bumpy concrete. hope everyone gets back racing soon.

i know the crash is a bad deal and i hope the best for the guys that were involved but would ya just look at the pass for the lead on the outside over the jump at peoria!?!?! that dude was rippin and looks like he might have threw in a little scrub...(Justin Reed in the lead one of my best friends he grew up on a motobike his whole life...he also scored his first podium that day!)

Gerit Callies was the rider with the brain bleed, he was the most seriously injured. The brain bleed has stopped. He is still in the hospital but improving. Robbie Trienen has been released, he had a concussion and a dislocated shoulder. He may require futher treatment when he gets home. Adam Bushman is recovering from surgery after dislocating and breaking a hip.

Callies is my nephew and he is recovering. No indication as to when he will be released from the hospital. He is allowed up for short periods of time.

Mother F! That's one of the worst I've seen and by all rights should have been worse. The guy above definitely got his neck stretched, glad to hear everyone will recover.

Yes, he was up walking..... just talked to his mom this afternoon. Sounds like either later tonight or tomorrow they will remove all the iv's. We are truly blessed as his family that he is recovering so well.
