I was just reading an article in September's issue of RacerX and it mentioned Ricky Carmichael as the wildcard for the MX3 ride.

Looks better if you just put RC if you can't spell.

Watching Carmichael ride at the ranch I would say he could easily be on the box at the next national. The guy is still
super fast.

comebacks..............Schumacher, Jordan, Favre, Gretzky, and I'm sure many more I don't remember................none were/are good........let it go.......he went out as the GOAT.........think he should keep it that way............

not that I doubt with his grit and determination he could make it work...........but he left for many reasons that probably haven't really changed..........playin around at the ranch is one thing.......coming back to one of the highest levels in professional motorsports is something else all together........IMO

I'm not sure if he ever lost his speed.I think once you're fast you're always fast just whether you're in shape or not.Is RC 100% now? I doubt it but he's a good 90% and 90% of RC is faster than most at 100%.You should see him do the finish
line @ LL's...I watched him make the jump ten laps in a row and I still think its impossible to make.

I might be the biggest RC fan around, but no. Especially with everyone healthy. He just isn't in the shape he used to be in. If he lost 30 pounds I would take you seriously. The guy was the best ever, he is retired now. That's just the way it is. But do I think he could make a comeback if he really wanted it? Yes.

Ok..just to be clear...I said he could easily be on the box at the next national.I honestly dont think Canard,Reed or Villopoto will be at the next national. Speaking of Trey...it sure was good to see him ride again at LL's. He looked really good on the bike.

I think RC racing the MXoN would be a great story. However it would break his I'm retired promise, something I have great respect for him keeping. Something very few other heros have been able to do, and it never has a good ending. Plus, he'd have to turn pro, that guy is still racing the am nationals.

I get it..I think he's fast enough to podium at the next national...Do I think he should be on the MXoN team? NO!!! but opinions are just that opinions. If you dont think he can then you are entitled to your opinion.Does that make you right and me wrong?
nope it doesnt. If you dont agree with me you have the upper hand and the power to click me...still doesnt make you right and me wrong...If you were in my house then I could ask you to leave but it wouldnt make me right and you wrong.

I "get it" but its my opinion and yours may differ.

Dude no one said they were going to click you, what are you getting so worked up for? And yes you are entitled to your opinion, I'm just telling you that it's wrong.

In the interviews after the third moto at Loretta's he said that his wife was REALLY against him racing and it took a lot to talk her into him doing LL. He said he has some sort of plan for racing..........and I'm just assuming it has something to do with backing it down a good bit and playing it safe.

..........which to me sounds like absolutely no pro racing. ......but I suppose anything is possible.

you guys wanting to send Alessi....you do realize he regularly finishes 20-45 seconds behind dungey right? one moto he beat RD but he wasn't faster than RD that day.

just because he finishes 2nd doesn't mean he's earned it. faster riders out there. I'll take our chances with Ricky over mike all day long.

You and Roger DeCoster disagree very much about one of those three riders...
