I apologize for this being in the wrong forum but there is no one in the game room and this is moto related and we NEED a new console to promote our sport so this seems valid.
From what I gather, Jeremy, who is a regular at supercross.com is one of the developers. Looks like the game has been in development for quite some time, is coming December or early next year and it is called Toyota Motocross 2013. All the real SX venues, the real MX tracks (minus Unadilla which he said they could not obtain rights to), real riders, real points series.
He said the reason for the unusual name is that Toyota wants to get more heavily into MX and thus this sponsorship. Jeremy said that it was going to be titled after an energy drink but if it was named after one it would not have had the other in game so they went with Toyota.
Sounds really promising. For consoles and PC. It appears that a website should be up in the next week or so with a beta test going to be DLC sometime in August to gather feedback.
Interesting read. I just PRAY it is true. Mud is fun for a bit but too arcade and rather boring. MXS is great but I want to play as real riders and want to race a real points series.
Anyone know anything about this?

I try my best to keep my finger on the pulse of any and all MX games. For example, the FB page about the AMA Supercross was complete BS by some kid. There was at first a petition to EA. That was legit and they did at least meet about the game according to a very good source I know. When they declined this kid told a LOT of people there was a new developer and GDD (Game Document Design). But it was ALL FALSE.
Jeremy's topic about an MX game has gone on well over a year. Probably closer to 1.5. Which, if legit, would probably be able the proper length of time for a game to be created. There have been several topics on that forum regarding it. I'm not sure but as I said...if it is a hoax it has been going on for a LONG time. . So I am hoping and praying it is all legit. And I kinda think it actually is. =)
Really? How much more realistic can it get than MX Simulator?
What we need is a refinement and bugless version of a mixture of MVA physics, along with real replica tracks and riders.
That will be what i want to play every night infront of my plasma when i knock off work.
I hope this game is true, but it sounds very shotty, and more like a kid behind a keyboard dribbling shit.
Yeah, the low speed physics aren't great, but once you get the hang of it, nothing gets close. It's more of a simulator than anything else, the physics are grounded entirely in reality unlike MVA games.

I totally respect and appreciate JLV and the amazing detail of MXS but please guys lets not make this another MXS is all we ever need topic. That game is amazing for what it is. BUT, it does not replicate what we see on tv. It is NOT the NBA2k12/NHL12/Madden12 of our sport because it does not have Reed/Stewart/RD5/RV2/Canard/KR70/JB20 etc and it does not have a real points series that replicates, for example, the SX series such as EA Supercross 2000. It does not have commentary from the Speed crew such as RS/JE or the Fuel/NBC team of JG/JE or the overlays of a broadcast. I like MXS and it does a lot better than most but it is FAR from being what I want in a MX/SX game as I dream of the NBA2K12 of MX/SX.
I know....it will probably never happen. But you gotta at least hope.
Pit Row
MUD got everything right except the actual control/physics. The AI is good with top tier riders being on top, full points series, real teams/bikes/riders . It has it all but the physics and control are just way too simple and it makes the game boring, in my opinion. Whereas MX vs ATV Alive/Reflex got the control and physics pretty darn good but got nothing else right. (poor AI, no full points series, the lack of authenticity without all the DLC payout). If you could combine the two games you would have a winner.
Still, a decent starting point for Blackbean. They just need to pull their simulation aspects from their other racing titles over to MUD.
I'd buy one for sure.
Definitely a bit weird that all we've heard about it is one guy, on a low-key forum. You'd think if they are releasing it in December, they would be trying to get the name out there and promote as much as possible.
Still, I'm really, really hoping it will turn out to be true - it does sound good
we probably won't get a new mx game any time soon. I bet we get 832742374892 new shooter games though
Post a reply to: Has anyone at Vital heard of this new Motocross game? Toyota Motocross 2013?
