I think he tried to fight Vince after practice which would probably be the fine.

You can't have people getting in fights after practice regardless of the situation. With that said the AMA and MXsports have put the riders in a situation where they feel they need to handle it themselves because MxSports/AMA have not inforced the rules such as dirty riding in qualifying/practice and even something as simple as black flagging those that ignore the blue flag.
You think?

Skip, in this case facts would be much better than speculation.

All I have to go off is the RacerX Twitter account, Dean Wilson's, twitter account and your very vague "post-ramming wrestling" post to go off.

If someone decides to say what really happened and it's different than what I said I'll change it. That's why I said I think because nobody's really giving a non- objective ruling on the story.

"You know, a LOT of these guys are gonna be dropping anchor around the 20-25 minute mark; so, stay away from the goof balls 'til then, ok? You know how to make time in the closing minutes of the moto and that'll work here. It -REALLY- works here!"

Weston: :"Absolutely! Sounds like a plan!" (Smilling all the while)

"Intensitiy matters in the opening minutes; but, this is a REAL 'out-door' track and you're gonna have plenty of opportunities-USE them...wisely...and...stay away from people...just get around them as quickly as you can and focus on YOUR lines."

Weston:"I like that, sounds like a plan. You sure about the rest of them 'dropping anchor'?"...he says laughing...

"I've seen it go that way all these years!"

That was our discussion while Lou was putting the bike in the gate for the 1st moto. Content, smiling and pretty damn happy with himself, his bike, his dad. Just...Content.

Ready to race!

I'm pretty damn sure that "incident" with Friese came and went and Weston just moved on. He's in that "kind of place" with his racing.

Coincidentally: The pre-race discussions with Udall, Austin Howell and Weston were about racing the track, staying away from clowns and making moves on the anchor droppers...non-of-which is easy to do.

Especially "Staying Away From Clowns".

Weston rode VERY WELL, indeed.

He should be proud.

I believe the altercation happened on the track right Steve? Right after Vince tried to clean Weston out? I didn't hear about anything happening in the pits , but maybe I just missed it. Anyways......hopefully everyone can just put this stuff in the past and move forward. I wish your advice you told Vince would of sunk in........doesn't sound like it did.

So what is the payday for finishing 9th overall in a 450 national minus $500 for a dust up with Friese? Hopefully it is enough to make it worth the time and effort to make the trip to Washougal.

As far as I know that was the only one. That's why I objected to Skip's, "I think..."

Here's what wrestling in moto gear looks like. I'm hoping it's not an Olympic event anytime soon.

The winner of this one? The flagger.

HA! What are the odds that there happened to be a flagger in that corner that was big enough to pull Weston off Vince.

Just an idea.
He should take donations before he releases the go-pro clip....to off set the fine Weston got.
When it gets to $500 ,then release the footage.
I would be down to kick in $50. Smile

I have no problem with guys standing up for themselves when provoked numerous times.

Vince owes that flagger lunch... good for Weston, not takin any silly business. If I had the extra $500, I'd pay Weston's fine

That is so beautiful. So deserved and so perfectly executed by Windham. Don't f with KDub. Seriously: what is wrong with Friese? He really should just be parked by whoever runs motocross/supercross these days.

How you could've avoided that by clarifying because I heard it happened after they had exited the track.

Again, all I really had to go off was the RacerX Twitter account, Dean Wilson's, twitter account and your very vague "post-ramming wrestling" post to go off.

Saying, "I think" SHOULD tell people I'm not sure at the moment and shouldnt be taken as exact fact. If that pisses you off you might not want to run a message board.

I missed the first couple seconds as I got the camera out but the Acerbis track marker toss makes me laugh...

After viewing the video evidence I, on behalf of the Vital MX penalty committee, hereby rescind the $500 fine.

I declare the revised fine to be $5 for costs incurred to reinstall the track marker that Weston gave Vince as a peace offering.

I'm far from pissed off. I'm just saying that if you don't know, what you posted didn't add anything, except potentially making things more confusing by suggesting that it was "after practice."

I figured that even without the photos, people were smart enough to figure out that "post-ramming wrestling" happens while the bikes are still on the ground. Smile

Im not going to lie, those pictures brought a laugh and cheer right out of me. Its funny how Friese looks like he is trying hard to escape and run the opposite way hahaha. Weston is definitely not a guy I would want angry at me.

I will say that Peick asked for it in practice. By stuffing Friese (very hard), and then giving him the middle finger in the woods.

A question for those in the "know". Seems like Friese is actually a danger to others. This isn't based on this single incident, but, at some point enough "incidents" occur that it departs from the realm of aggressive riding into a different arena. I am not against a little rubbing of plastic or aggressive racing, but, when it is clear that someone has gone way beyond this and makes a practice of take outs, why isn't anything done? OF course, this was a practice session and maybe it is necessary to practice take outs.

Don't see this being an Olympic sport anytime soon.

Well I wasnt going to say anything but friese slammed Weston in the second moto pretty good but this time right in front of a Official. This kid has a serious problem he is putting riders lifes in danger he needs to be suspended. I talked to other riders and one manager today and they all agree. I will be calling the MX Sports office on monday to discuss this.
X2 Louie...... It wont end with Friese. Michael had to leave Milestone the last time Friese showed up cause Friese cut the track no less than six times looking to t-bone Michael. A call to Geova was met with "I support my rider". if you need any help with MX Sports let me know and I would recommend anybody that has a Friese story contact MX Sports. This guy needs to go away from our sport before he hurts somebody.

I ask again, how hasn't this guy had his ass kicked yet? After an incident like that, it's safe to say it's time.

Chip.....I think you need to look at both individuals here ( Weston and Vince ).....and look back in history about who is the shit starter? Then....ask yourself what happened right before the incident that you say you saw. If history is any indication.......I would say you would have your answer.
