Interesting they steepened the rake 1 degree (from 30 deg 20' to 29 deg 20') which reduced the trail from 140mm to 130mm. Curious how the already razor sharp turning will be? I didn't see this detail when reading the features, but they listed it in the video on suzuki's website.

The 2009 and 2010 had yellow front number plates standard on both bikes. The 2011 and 2012 450's came with a white front plate, while the 250's came with a black one.

is this to better balance the bike? I'm not sure I'm complete sure what these specific changes will do?

For real? The 450 has come with an aluminium tank since 2008 and the 250 has since 2010. I'm not a fan of white (or black, I suppose) rear fenders either, but you can easily change them if you wish.

The exhaust I suppose - fenders are much cheaper to replace.

Seems like the yellow has chaged over the years too. I personally like the brighter yellow better.

At least it's not just BNG. I think the bike looks and sounds (from the updates) pretty solid. Change the fucking plastic if you don't like it, jeeesh. Red rear fender? That's fugly. All considered, they should have kept the champion yellow.

Great Bikes, they would sell better if they target the vet racer with non mullisha colored rear fender , plastics and butt ugly seats covers. luckily after market plastics are cheap. Suzuki is not known for marketing as always so no surprise here

Anyone else notice the subtle difference between these two?

The 450 gets solid white side plates while the 250 gets 2 tone black and white side plates like the 05-08 CRF side plates. Maybe the 450 got the leftovers from last year Huh

I noticed the 450 comes with one less fork spring yet tips the scales at 249 lbs. Good thing they took the fork spring out, otherwise, that puppy really would weigh 1/8 of a ton. Freakin amazing. Forty years ago, Robert's works RH weighed 168 lbs.

For all of you bitching about the black rear fender, put a decal kit on the thing. It will actually look badass if you have a yellow decal on there with the black outline from the plastic. Same with the fork guards.

Hey it could be worse right?

Speaking of '92 Suzuki's, there's this nice original RM125 for $900 in the Dallas area. (Not mine)

If you look at the RM's from the 70's, 80's and most 90's this thing will go down in history as the worst looking RM of all time. That said it still looks 100% better than any blue yamaha. In my opinion only of course. Bet it is still a ripper and maybe even best of class for performance.

Here's a tip. The yellow wasn't color-corrected in the photos that have been released. It's the same as it's always been.

The 450 has always had solid white side plates. The 250 has had two-tone panels since the current generation bike came out in 2010, except they were black with a yellow accent on the 2010 -2012, as opposed to white with a black accent on the 2013.

I've said it before and I'll say it again. This is the best looking Suzuki RM ever built. It's too bad it didn't come from Suzuki like this.

As usual, you are focusing on just one part of the equation there homie. Even though it is heavier, in terms of performance on the track, the RMZ450 is a far superior motorcycle in every way.
